Some big shocks in the opening round of the worlds. Surely one of Trump or Ronnie will win it now. Maybe Selby (hope not).

I remember the good old days with the likes of Hendry, Davis, 'Hurricane' Higgins, Jimmy 'Whirlwind' White, Dennis Taylor with the upside down glasses lol and a few more. Them days sitting smoking a cig and downing pint's of lager to boot. It's changed nowadays for me, its become all squeaky clean. The snooker is on live atm on the BeeB but I just can't be arsed watching it.

Did well to get it back to 12-12. Just doesn't put the work in that the other guys do and it shows. I'd like to see one of the old timers win it now. Williams or Higgins for me.

Anyone but Selby. Think Ronnie won't ever win another Worlds. He's fine with his legacy which is fair enough; arguably the greatest ever.

No players I'm interested in left now. Really disappointing. Like I said, I don't watch snooker nowadays and tbh I never rated Ronnie. You could never put him in the same mould as all the old players I mentioned before, especially Hendry and Steve Davis. They gave it all but Ronnie just could not give a shite if he wins or loses, sometimes he is brilliant and the next time he just does not seem interested. They showed him cutting his finger nails during this match as if to say "I am getting bored with this". But that's my opinion only and others may differ but snooker and snooker players nowadays are just not the same, snooker has become squeaky clean and a yawn.

Haha How's Hawkins getting dicked so bad? Don't manage to watch much of the day snooker because of work. Guessing it's from his slog with Ronnie last night catching up with him

Yeah Hawkins is seriously suffering from the match with Ronnie. Williams has gotten a spanking from Ding, who's won with a session to spare. Really looks the one to beat now although Selby is starting to find some form.

Really looks the one to beat now although Selby is starting to find some form. Mark Williams was having real problems with his new cue tip, seems to be the general consensus on that one. Ding probably still favourite though. C'mon John!
