chris We're trying to make Tommy feel better about himself mate? You arrive on the scene proclaiming you've bumped uglies 3 times since Tuesday, isn't helping!  Hey, I was the one who first mentioned the dating site! I've done my bit. Now I'm just showing off  Just lie and say you're a millionaire and you'll buy them a car once you've done it. Nah, I don't have any secrets. On my profiles, I'm just honest, well, brutaly honest. Women appreciate honesty. Also, if I send a message, I send something better than 'how's you' or some variation of that, but that's when I send them. Its rare that ill get in touch with someone first. I'm also quite selective, but also scared of rejection. Not everyone is gonna find u attractive. Well, everyone finds me attractive, cos I am. What websites are these? I don't understand how you can just 'approach' women without getting in touch with them first. (I really don't know how any dating sites work, forgive my ineptitude.) |

But I've made an effort in all my messages to ask about their interests etc and got no replies.
I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. More direct maybe?

When I approach them, I am getting in touch with them. A clever line helps, just to get them intrigued. In fairness, I don't just need dating sites to get with women, but there is nothing wrong with having a helping hand. Plus, I just can't see myself starting a relationship with someone I meet in town on a night out and I can't meet women at my work place since its an absolute sausage fest. I just have a knack for talking to women. I'd say I find it easier to talk to women than I do to blokes. That's just how it is for some people. Confidence helps. I use a site called plenty of fish. Its free. Don't think I'd actually pay to join a site and I don't search religiously. |

Tell me Tommy, what is a typical first message you send to women? Also, what are your pictures like? Happy ones? Smiling ones? Fun ones? Also, don't use your webcam for pictures. They look awful. I actually can't believe some of the pictures that people use. I think they go on these sites to not get dates!

I don't have many pictures of me but they are ok. Smiling yeah. One bowling and 2 in Miami. I'm not the best looking guy ever but I'm decent considering my circumstances.
As for a first message I usually just say hi then talk about something in their profile which interested me. I just try to make it look like I've actually read their profile rather than just sending blanket messages to any decent looking girl I see. Then I ask a couple of questions to give them a reason to respond.
I'm guessing you use a different tactic?

Your pictures sound like they are fine and what you are saying in messages sounds good too. Its more than what I write! Then again, as I said before, its not often that I get in touch first.
I tend to compliment there pictures on my first message. As Homer Simpson said "When it comes to compliments, women are ravenous blood-sucking monsters, always wanting more".

Put it this way, I joined plenty of fish 2 weeks ago and I've only sent like, 3 messages first, but I've received loads. One of those was too this hot milf! I love smashing older women! Its awesome! Do you have a missus Bestie lad? If not, just give it a go, just to feed your curiousity. I'm like you. Never really saw myself going down that route, but it does work, even if you just get sex a couple of times. |

A lad I know isn't an attractive guy and he's a bit of a prick, but he does dating sites and he manages to do well. It sounds like its all in what you say. I'd try a different tactic. Its hard though because all women are different. Show a bit of a cheeky side as well. I tend to throw in a 'wow, you're DAMN fine'. Also, I wouldn't throw in too much about there profile. Should you get a response, you might eliminate things to talk about. And yeah, I bet everyone does praise there pictures, but if it works, who cares? |
