Whereabouts do you teach by the way?

Just come across this thread so i thought I'd add my two penn'orth....
Been doing International Sales for over 20 years...currently working for a company in the defence field...selling chemical warfare and radiation detector simulators for training - I spend quite a lot of time travelling...previously had 11 years at Epson...took redundancy and then found myself out of work 15 months later....spent 11 months out of work, worked in Kuwait for 7 months then came back to a further 12 months without a job....it got pretty shitty at times but if you keep at it something comes up....
Good luck to anyone out there looking for a job....stay positive....

I'm currently in energy procurement.
Worked in the energy sector for nearly 10 years now, despite a brief dalliance with the dole queue, telesales (I was desperate) and working a switchboard for a law firm. On a fair wedge of cash now, and couldn't be happier. Sometimes losing your job can be the best thing.

I'm still studying, currently in the process of upgrading to a PhD, after which I'm hoping to do a post-graduate law degree (IP Law).

Had a slight career shift.
I don't know how you gentleman feel about Police I'm sure people have had mixed experiences but I chose to become an officer a few months ago. Wanted something more hands on where no two days will be the same.
In he states it's getting a bit crazy especially if anyone caught what has happened in Las Vegas recently. Interesting dynamic to a day of work.

Lads - I am a newly qualified teacher! Graduated yesterday and started my job last week. I have a class of thirty 8 years olds.
I want you all to know that I spent about 3 days putting United stuff all over my classroom. I will try to convert each and every one of them by next summer.

Nice one -- I'd rather teach 8 year olds than the older fuckers who carry knives and think they are hard Me? I'm off work due to disability and unlikely to get another job Do several things to make some extra cash which my mate calls Man Whoring ... unfortunately it's not Man Whoring
