Yeh looks like he's headed for Le Arse. If they get him they'll have made quite a few signings of decent players but none of them prolific goal scorers, so Wengers gonna have to work his magic

Fucking sickening. Sir Alex is taking the piss if he makes us watch Sahin go to Arsenal while we fuck around with PR exercises in claiming interest in Moura and RvP.
I'm so tired of shit like this, we need midfielders and while I've been an advocate for both or either of the two players mentioned above, that was on the presumption top quality midfielders were not available beyond Kagawa. We need one or two major signings as a show of force and intent, so van Persie and Moura would be great shouts. But to see the likes of Nuri Sahin potentially moving to Arsenal makes me angry.

I dont know enough about sahin to comment bestie. But I do feel your pain regarding other signings. This is arguably the biggest transfer window of fergies career at OT and to be honest if we only buy kagawa and powell I will be worried for the season ahead.

any chance some of you guys are overrating sahin, i haven't seen him and it's no sleight not being able to get in ahead of alonso, ozil and one or two others of their midfielders but mourinho obviously doesn't rate him and thinks modric is better hence the struggle to get him from spurs. and that is a player who divides opinion on here.

Maybe we'e not in for him in the same way no-one else was really in for Kagawa. Maybe Sahin will only join say Arsenal and his mind is made up like Kagawa's was.

I thought Sahin's mind was made up that he wanted to stay with Madrid!

Arsenal are strengthen pretty good i'd say. Even with Kagawa and Powell we still lack strength needed and our opponents go about doing a gr8 job in the Transfer window while we seem to stuck with our targets( That is on the assumption that we are working on Moura And RvP still).
While Sahin may or may not be a good player( while i rate him as good) we could have atleast inquired. So long the assumption was that he may go to spurs as package deal for Modric , if not why the fuck where we not even in for him. Dunno know if we did , but i'd be pissed if we didn't even put in an effort to check with RM and Him.

Don't think that angst is really necessary... we only lost the title on goal difference and went out of Europe playing weak teams in what should have been easier matches. Fergie has learn his lesson and the young squad we have will get much better. We've added two players in and anything else is a bonus. So if we got one of the two you mention, good, if not it doesn't matter. They're both two of those signings which as a club we need to try and get but they aren't essential. Sahin has sat on his arse for a season, if he was the Champions league winning centre mid he seems to be being portrayed as then he would'nt have been. As i've said all summer, central mdifield is our best covered area numbers wise, so we won't sign any more in the middle.

Sahin was injured for the majority of the season as far as I know, how does no-one realize this?

Thank you jay. I was going to say the same thing. When Sahin was fit, he started getting games. Yes, even in a midfield including Xabi Alonso, Ozil, Diarra, Kaka, Khedira and occasionally Coentrao, Pepe or Marcelo.
@ Sky Sports - It isn't the fact we "only" lost the Title on goal difference to Manchester fucking city that bothers me, it's that we blew an 8 point lead in the final straight. We lost to Wigan and drew at home to Everton. Unacceptable. The trip away to the Etihad was a disgrace, and I lost some respect for Ferguson that night. Shit, old, legless, midfield; didn't start our best player (Valencia was in the form of his life); we set up for the first time in 25 years with fear etched into the tactics. It was a fucking debacle.
The exit from Europe also cannot be described away as weak teams against weak opposition. When we needed a result in the last group game we couldn't get the job done.
And what's our response? An attempt to get Hazard, the type of player we don't need, an attempt to get Moura, the type of player we don't need, and an attempt to get RvP, again not the type of player we need. Kagawa and Powell were both astute signings, great. Kagawa could be a revolution-maker as he is indeed class, but when we're under the kosh away at West Ham leading 2-1 with 15 minutes left, the guy just isn't going to be the one making sure we don't throw the points away.
Maybe we play Jones in there, or give Tunnicliffe a chance. I wouldn't mind that actually, but just can't see Sir Alex doing it. Or maybe, when good players with bags of potential become available we ask the question of his club and see if we can't son of a bitching sign them.

What's the chances of us playing Kagawa as part of a 2 man central midfield partnership? Allowing us to play 2 up top?

Assuming we get a forward in as SAF has admitted we are in the hunt for RVP, what do you reckon the formation will be with Kagawa in the team? I do have a point here by the way!
