Good for Murray, but, arguably, he's won the wrong tournament.

Brilliant from all of Team GB so far. Excellent show of ability. I love Jess Ennis that bit more now. As for Murray nice one mate, Shut the minority up that always have a bad word to say about you. You even smiled as well. I couldn't wait for the end of this Olympics before it started now I regret saying it. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it so far and watched events I never thought id watch. Cant wait for the 100m final tonight now. Also come on Murray and Robson taking first set 6-2 another juicy gold medal coming our way hopefully.

Mr Gatlin is clocking times like he did in 2006. Hmm.

its 1:55 pm in Ja. we are under a Tropical Storm Warning, and Usain Bolt is the only 'lightning' that we are concerned with! (this and dont sleep on Yohanne Blake) edit: it was 1:55 when i wrote that. but then as i was sending it some strong wind caused a black out and it just went through. edit # 2: told you about Blake! the man is focused and calm.

Fuck me that man can move. 9.63 with a shit start, is he ever going to do a proper race lol. He will beat his own world record one day. Amazing stuff. Well done to Blake and Gatlin aswell. Pushed him all the way. Even if he made it look easy at the end.

Bolt is different class.
9.63, new Olympic record. By the way, you lot in the UK should be happy because the second fastest 100M ever has taken place tonight on British soil.
Bolt's a likeable guy. He always brings a smile to people, his pointing at the camera...making faces, etc...in the training area, and on track, is great to see.
Think he was saying something to the effect of 'I'm always number one baby' on the TV camera. He genuinely makes me laugh. Sport needs a guy like him.
The 200M should be interesting.

Hes got a good personality and loves to showboat but not to the point of arrogance. Hes the best in the world at what he does so deserves to show it off. Also hes a united fan bigger bonus. Think Blake will do better in the 200m but id still expect Bolt to take the gold. If he gets a better start than he did in the 100m then god knows what hes capable of doing. He aced the 100m with a poor start I mean this guy just aint human.

there is nobody in professional athletics that can match Bolt in the 200m. people tend not to realise the different approach Bolt himself takes to both sprints. the 200M is his bread and butter so he takes it a lot more seriously than the 100M.
as good as Blake is (and from my many posts you can tell how i rate him) you will see a larger margin of victory for Bolt in the 200M final, should both progress unscathed.

Since Bolt gains speed the longer he runs unlike his opponents, I too expect him to scorch the 200m. What a run yesterday though. Amazing.

I wasn't really arsed about the Olympics but have to admit I have gotten carried away with it.
GB have done superb, from Ennis and Farah to Hoy and Ainslie, and maybe topping it off Murray, not only destroying Fed, but beating both Federer and Djokovic without dropping a set! And getting a silver in the mixed doubles as well. Fantastic.
Throw in a wonderful 100 metres, and maybe best of all, the Aussie's struggling so much for golds, and having their presenters having to praise the Brits through gritted teeth!
Brilliant.

What the Aussies did with the medal table - where they only showed the top 9 because NZ were 10th - was petty. SO good to be able to laugh at them. They have the same amount of gold medals as Lithuania, Cuba, Georgia, North Korea and Croatia - and 5 less than Kazakhstan. Brilliants.

And thats 18 golds equalling Beijing, bit ahead of myself with Pendelton shes not in the final yet, but she looks a class above them anyway, hers to lose.
