the Olympics track n field signs off with a new 4 x 100m World record. well done London for staging a beautiful, truly beautiful Games. some of the setting for some races were magnificent. and the games were run fairly competently. on to Rio in 4 years. P.S. look out for a new 100M & 200M record for the men in the Diamond league meets.

Full credit to the entire Jamaica Team, cracking race and Bolt at the end signed off and what he does best, destroying anyone that tries to compete with him. He was pulling away from the yank, incredible.
Well done also to Tom Daley. Nothing was expected but came away with a bronze. Celebrated more than the yank did, Goes to show how much it means to these athletes whether its a Gold or not. Any Medal is one hell of an achievement. Well Done Team GB.

Team GB and Northern Ireland! Techincally its Team England Nah agreed mate All home Nations did well and should be proud. Goes to show as a collective nation we can all pull together and get behind them. Shame after today it will be back to normal and people will be individuals again.

Gutted it's all over now. I've loved every minuted of it! Same as mate, Couldnt wait for it be over before it started, thought it would be a bore and that id never get into it, soon took that statement back. Loved every second of it and watched stuff I never thought id watch. For once theres been something on the tv other than football thats been worth watching everyday.

Exactly the same. There's a quote from me right back before the start of the Olympics that I only was bothered about Bolt and Jessica Ennis. Even watching the Opening Ceremony in a bar in Italy I wasn't fussed at all.
How that has changed, really gutted it's finished. We've done fantastically well; there's been so, so much to be proud of and the feel-good factor has been extraordinary. Everyone I know has been right into it. Proud and even a bit emotional about the whole thing. GO ON TEAM GB & NI!!!

All good things, must come to an end
Was a blast while it lasted. Very impressed with how we fared in terms of hospitality, showmanship and athletically. Well done!!

I hope Mo Farrah gets a Knighthood just so everyone who writes for the Daily (Hate) Mail have brain aneurysms.

Anyone watching the athletes parade? As much as people think hes a knob, Boris Johnson has cracked me up and has been brilliant throughout it. Prefer him 10x over than that fucking idiot David Cameron. Plus seeing Katherine Jenkins helps along the way .

I felt sorry for them simply because it was televised on a backdoor channel. Should have still been on BBC1.
