And by live I mean when it's on the channel. I'm not planning on taking a trip to King's Landing to see this unfold. Although, going to a world where football doesn't exist is very appealing.

I've been roped into helping a family member out with something early Monday morning. Which means I won't be able to get up early to watch this like I've done with the first 4 eps. I swear to god if I hear any spoilers why I'm out I'm going to kill somebody. Day off for me, I'll be straight on it

I'm working from home today just so I can log off at 11 to watch this. Cannot risk being on the train home and some utter twat loudly talks about it; I like my life, don't want to have to spend the next 20 years in jail for murder.
Same next week, already have the day off.

Loved it. Dany has gone and done the thing her dad couldn't do. She's pretty much the last one who needs to die now (maybe Greyworm as well but he's not as important a character). Well Jon kill her? Arya? Even Tyrion (two brothers, two monarch killers). My guess is Arya.
Bit disappointed we didn't see anyone kill Cersei but I guess they wanted the bittersweet ending for her and Jamie.
Thought the fact that Tyrion could let Jamie escape and it either A - wouldn't be noticed or B - was noticed but Dany didn't bother doing anything about it was a bit shit. They've captured the queens brother/lover and his brother, the queens hand, free's him? Pretty sure she would have had him burned for that, especially after literally just warning him about letting her down one more time.

Bloody hell. Her father's daughter! Such a horrendous end scene for everyone at Kings Landing. Cersei's death felt a little underwhelming considering she is the villain of the piece or at least she was before Dany decided to Burn them All.
Cleganebowl was mental.
Yeah I reckon Tyrion will be the first to eat it on the next episode. Jon will have to kill Dany, there is no one else.
Somehow the Onion Knight has survived! Get in!

After that episode I don't want to wait for 7 more days to see the conclusion to it. Far too long to wait well if there was any doubt of Danerys being the mad queen, there's none now. That Dragon decimated everything. Surely she'll die after all that at the hands of Jon. When the dragon burst through that wall and lit everything up was insane.
Finally got to see the Cleganewars, had a feeling they'd both die, had to really.
Thought Cersei would have lasted until the last episode, as said above it seemed pretty underwhelming.
I'll be proper fucked off if Tyrion lasts until the last episode and ends up being killed.

I thought it was an Ok episode. The Clegane fight was good but other than that there is nothing much in this episode. Just Drogon burning down everything.
I was looking forward to Unsullied vs the Golden Company but Drogon just burned down the entire Golden Company in seconds.
I don't think there is no strong reason behind Dany burning down the entire Kings Landing. I thought people only will be caught in crossfire but that is straight up slaughter.

I've seen a few people commenting on Dany's change, and how it feels way too rushed.
I agree, to a point, but I do feel the signs have always been there. She crucified people, and openly talked about killing and razing cities to the ground. Her family are a long line of lunatics, her brother sold her off as a possession and told her he would happily see thousands of men and their horses all rape her if it got him the throne. That is going to mess the shit out of your head no matter who you are.
The man she is sold to rapes her repeatedly until she falls in love with him, and gets pregnant with his child, only to see him and the unborn child die, and then get told she is now barren.
She goes to the North expecting a hero's reception and instead is greeted coldly and with suspicion. 2 of her "children" are killed, and she discovers the man she has fallen in love with and, I expect, wanted to sit by her side on the throne is actually not only her nephew, but also has a stronger claim to the throne than her. He's also loved throughout the 7 kingdoms by the same people who are at best apathetic about her. She realises that the people will always want Jon to rule and not her.
She thinks she has maybe 3 people left in the world that she loves and can trust, and see's two die and the other betray her by doing the one thing she made him swear not to do.
Maybe one more season would have been better to really show the change in character, but I didn't feel it was massively rushed. It was a build up of so much shit that has happened to her, over and over and over again, and it's like the Targaryen button in her head has just been pushed.

No time to comment too much but that was just insane! I think Arya's montage through King's Landing is setting her up to kill Dany. She's seen the utter destruction she caused to innocent people first hand.

I also found Cersei's death a little underwhelming. But I guess she did technically die at the hands of her little brother to fulfil the prophecy.

It was epic, but I’m gutted Jaime didn’t get the blow in on Cersei and loved her at the end.
Also Arya surviving like two close calls with dragonfire is up there with the biggest escapes yet.
Next week will be class. Jon has to kill Dany. And I still hold out a lot of hope that Bran will do something epic. He has to, or his whole arc was for nothing.

Jon should kill the mad queen but I'm not sure he will be able to do it so I think it will be Arya. She was set up to do it nicely. We don't know if Tyrion is alive. It would be an interesting spin if Arya would be the assassin using the dead Tyrion's face.

Have a strange feeling that Sansa will be involved somehow, she went behind Danys back to tell Tyrion about the secret which hasn't been addressed yet, plus Sansa doesn't trust or like Dany much. Think Jon killing Dany is too obvious and don't think he could do it anyway.
Killing tens of thousands of people has surely sealed her fate anyway.
Either way the last episode should be intetesting.

She has to do something. Her story doesn’t seem over IMO. Could see them saying her endgame influence was spreading Jon’s true lineage though.
Bran is the one that absolutely needs payoff IMO. His whole story makes no sense, and has no purpose, if he doesn’t do something big that involves fucking with the past and present simultaneously like he did with Hodor. Right now that’s the only time we’ve seen him come close to his true potential, and it makes 0 sense to leave it there.
I have a horrible feeling though that Martin set up that twist without a final payoff down the line, and the writers have no clue how to inject it themselves. It’ll be a huge disappointment if that is the case.

The more I think, the more I am upset with Jaime’s end. He should have died killing Cersei, not hugging her.
For fuck’s sake, he became Kingslayer because he didn’t want thousands of innocents to die - and now he’s just said he doesn’t care about any of them? I was certain he left Brienne to kill Cersei, such a disappointment it wasn’t.
Not sure whether this is GRRM’s or the show’s story. I’m guessing the former as I doubt they would diverge so significantly - but maybe I’m wrong, as even the idea of Queen Cersei is miles away from happening in the books. Either way, it’s a shit end for the most well-developed character in the story.
