What an absolutely insane, mental episode. Jon won't kill the Mad Queen, Arya will. She was left alive for this. I think Bran will have something left to do in this as well. But overall, absolutely crazy .

At least we know now that Danys vision in season 2 was ash and not snow.

I hated everything about Euron this episode - he went from crack shot dragon slayer to can't hit a dragons arse with a banjo within a week. Hated his stupid fucking death as well. Also hated how every ship literally exploded after a passing stream of dragon fire. If the Iron Fleet was so easy to destroy, why did she pull out last week? She could have just circled and come up behind them.
I hated that the Golden Company was so easily destroyed and were basically irrelevant.
I hated that Arya had so many close calls. Plot armour for main characters has been one the biggest criticisms over the last couple of seasons, and Arya in this episode was one of the worst cases of that.
Thoroughly enjoyed just about everything else.
The cinematography, action scenes and use of the score was some of the best in the entire show.
I loved the scene where the dragon looms out of the darkness.
I loved the scene with Jaime and Tyrion.
I loved that Dany has gone full mad queen. I thought they might half arse it, but no, Dany is full on bad guy.
I thought the way they did Cleganebowl on a staircase in one of the towers was excellent. The way it ended was great as well, very fitting.
I really enjoyed how Jaime and Cersei's death played out as well. It was unexpected. Definitely a case where subverting expectations payed off, at least in my opinion. Not everyone who deserves a gruesome death is going to get one. I seem to be in the minority who liked it, though.
Can't wait for next week. I think Dany is actually going to win and rule as a tyrant.

Seen a lot of hatred regarding Dany becoming the mad Queen. The signs were there from the very beginning. Every story they ever tell you of Targaryans seems to have foreshadowed what she ended up doing.
I wish they had used the coin flip analogy a lot more throughout the 8 seasons as it was the perfect way to explain Jon and Dany.
When it started she was timid and naive but as soon as she had power things changed. How she dealt with her brothers death. You think, nah that's justified. She freed the slaves but how she dealt with the masters was crazy. Nailing them to the mile posts, taking their children as squires and serving girls. You think nah it's fine, its proper harsh but they deserved it. Later when she burned all the Khals alive. Yeah they deserved that. Or did they really?
Later when she burned the Tarleys alive, you saw that there was the real sinister side. She didnt need to do it. As much as she tried to convince everyone otherwise.
There were plenty of signs that she was changing. She was quicker to anger. Her ambition was getting the best of her. She wanted to storm Kings Landing, not use military tactics. Her advisers kept telling her not to take the city, the city would cede to her. In the end they were right and she burned it to the ground anyway. What was it she said about root and stem?

Really hope Arya doesn't kill Dany. Her story should be done now. Unless she kills her whiny cunt of a sister, I'm all for that.
Think Jon will kill Dany although he wont want to then either die himself or perhaps return to black with Tormund, Sam etc.
Seeing as kings landing is rubble the throne could be done away with. Perhaps a counsel of Davos, Tyrion and Bronn etc looked over by Brann for guidance as I can't see him being king.
So many possibilities, so much time to wait. Fuck you weekly episode release!!!

Or it’s both. Ash as in the ash she brought onto it, snow as in Jon Snow on the Iron Throne. Either could work.

I'm realising now that they basically retconned episode 3 ..? Her armies were devastated by the undead . But episode 5 they're all back almost, dothraki cavalry included, who were the first to get slaughtered. Strange that. Also, the Golden Company are exactly like Paul Pogba. All talk no game lol .

Watch the episode 6 trailer (doesn't show a lot just Dany walking while her arms stands at attention. The ampint of Unsullied after the depleted numbers is insane, its like they've quadrupled in size

Was Arya riding a pale horse? And can we presume it's name is Death?
