Until our service to the front men, covering the back four, and relative midfield play improves we need no mention of purchasing strikers.
This is coming from a Polish citizen and Lewa is one of my favorite players but hey... we dont need him.

Like the look of him but he isn't needed.
If we are going to make a big name type signing I'd really want someone who is going to improve our regular team, not just our squad. With the 4 strikers we have we don't need another one.

Just wondering what you guys think of the daily mail who claims this story, and who are the most reliable press outlets in the U.K.?

The daily mail is rubbish, their method is to link United with any player out there, and then claim they told you when a deal actually comes off.
For instance, when we were scouting for a keeper they "Exclusively" ran stories to say we had agreed deals to sign De Gea, Reina, Akinfeev, Lloris, and some other guy, forget who now.
So when we finally signed De Gea, they could print a "We told you!" story, conveniently forgetting all about the other dead end stories that had us signing 6 different keepers at once.

Sky Deutschland are reporting that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Robert Lewandowski for €15m+.
Got this from a very reliable, objective twitter writer.
What this tells me, seeing as we've got Welbeck, Hernandez and RVP already vying for a starting spot, is that perhaps there is something going on with Wazza lately. Bringing in a world class striker to support him is one thing, bringing in two seems suspiciously like they might be aware this could be his last season. Just spit-balling here but who knows. Additionally, this could mean Wazza will be dropped deeper more religiously, very odd rumor though, especially as it's obvious we're in need of a midfielder.

The reported fee is somewhere between 12-15 mill so it could, hypothetically, be a case of not being able to miss out on such a player for such a cut price, his contract is up in the summer too.
Could be a coup.

I mean, sure, I'd welcome Lewa. But at Wayne's expense? Dunno.

It does seem like a United move though, getting a classy striker when the midfield is ageing and urgently needs attention.
Fairly sure with RVP and Lewa up front and Wazza roaming behind them it'd be terrifying for teams to play us again, though that will mean Welbeck getting less game-time up front, being played out wide perhaps, and Chico getting more sub appearances. Would welcome Lewa as you say, especially for such a price, it's just a pretty confusing move if true.
