Just wondering what you guys think of the daily mail who claims this story, and who are the most reliable press outlets in the U.K.? It's not the Daily Mail that's for sure, they generally come out with a lot of shit but they also do have some genuine exclusives, e.g. the RDM sacking and Benitez joining. I do believe the news on Lewa could be truthful though. For me, the most reliable papers are The Times, Guardian and Telegraph.

Got this from a very reliable, objective twitter writer. What's the person's twitter?

If this means Rooney is leaving, we could swap him with Real for Ronaldo back.

It'll be a great signing if it is true as he's on a different level to Welbeck and Chico, hard to see how it all fits together though.
Someone is going to have to be sold, especially when we have Keane and Henriquez coming through as well. I can't honestly see it being Rooney, he's still a huge part of our team and having just turned 27, he should be starting to hit his peak. It's obviously not RvP so that leaves Chico and Welbeck. I personally think it'll be Welbeck, he's not prolific enough and for him to turn into a world class player he needs to be playing regularly which isn't going to happen. Chico has shown over the last few weeks what a great impact player he is and we have no one else like him.

If this means Rooney is leaving, we could swap him with Real for Ronaldo back. The only person id want him to go for anyway. I dont understand this signing (if there is any sort of truth in it, Ill wait for it to be official to think that way). Hes a shit hot striker but....why? Where is he possibly going to play, unless we play 5 in the middle. De Gea Rafael Vidic Evans Evra Valencia Cleverley Kagawa Rooney RVP Lewandowski Thats the only way I can see us accomodating it. Which begs the question about some of the remaining players, Wellbeck, Nani or Chicho will be gone as they wont both be happy on the bench, Moving Rooney into the Centre will knock back Carrick and Andos chances which in turn will also make it hard for any of the other young lads to get a game therefore losing more young talent. Im all for improvement but if we go this direction were not improving one bit because scoring isnt a fucking problem for us. Once again were getting our priorities all to cock. Im not against it but I really don't understand the logic of this deal.

Strange one. He wouldn't be coming to sit on the bench surely, so that means someone would have to leave - only guess is Rooney. I would sell him if additional players in midfield came in, but surely Fergie wouldn't though???

What he doesn't seem to twig is we won't win anything on goal difference if we keep conceding twice or thrice a game. Regardless of how many times we score.

Why Rooney?
Hope this doesn't turn into another debate because hes lost it or because he didn't celebrate against Reading. Squad basis he is our best player and can turn a game on a head. I dont even want to entertain wanting or thinking about him going. Fergie could be looking at Nani going, moving Rooney to the left and putting Lewandowski up with RVP.
Dont understand why Rooney to leave seems to be the only choice given that hes not being played as a striker anymore.

it could be something like this ----------Strootman-------- Cleverley--------Ando---- -----------Kagawa---------- ---------Lewa - RVP-------

Exactly, sure hes not that naive to think if we score 200 goals in a season itll make things hunky dory when we concede 190 goals. Its just stupid logic to sign a player for a position weve proved this season were more than covered for. Does my head in, were looking to improve and were signing just for the fucking sake of spending. Spend the money on Hummels ffs.
