There's long been rumours that things aren't rosy with Fergie and Rooney, who knows, maybe there is something in it?
I very much want to keep Rooney, and don't think he will be sold, however you would look at us having 5 international strikers on the books and wonder how the hell we are going to keep them happy.
Of course the story about Lewandowski could just be BS and we'll keep our current quartet, but when a story has ran for this long about our interest in a player you do have to think there must be something in it.

Now that we have RvP I wouldn't mind us selling Rooney. I've never really forgiven him for the 'incident', but we've always been so dependent on him that selling him was never really a pleasant option. But if we could get decent money for him and use the proceeds to buy Lewandowski and a midfielder, I'd take it.

Seems a lot of smoke with this one. Doesn't seem to want to go away.

Sorry but this is a dick head comment everyone to their own but. the difference between RVP and Rooney concerning the incident is RVP would not stay with his club of 10 years for no amount of money, Rooney did, it might not have been the best way to go about it but RVP did exactly what Rooney did this season and before the start of last season demanding Wenger buy better players. What Ronnie did was 50x worse (im being treated like a slave) and everyone still sucks him. now look at his situation wanting to come back and like dick heads we will be there with open arms after he fucked us

I have a feeling that We are going to use Rooney as an out and out CM player after this season. It can be the only rational thought. Is Fergie lining Wazza up to be the aire to Scholesy's crown? This would also explain why he has refused to buy a central midfield player in recent transfer windows.

I must be a weirdo. I think Ronaldo is a brilliant individual player but when we got 80 mill for him I wasn't too bothered. There is no chance of him playing for us again due to the insane money that would be needed to get him. Its all opinions I suppose but I think RVP is going to be a more important player for us over the next 4 years than Ronald was in his time with us.

Rather than being excited by the potential arrival of one of Europe's most promising young strikers, I find it oddly disconcerting. Chicha and Welbz already get much lesser playing time than I'd like them to have. And there's absolutely no way we're parting company with Rooney. Just wish these rumours would go away.
My 2 cents on Ronaldo, since everyone is discussing it here - I'd like him back, but not for anything over 50 million. At the prices being quoted, I'd rather we sign 3 or 4 prodigious talents instead. Lets target the next Ronaldo instead of paying top dollar for the current one. We're the best at harnessing talent, remember?

I think the only comment here that made sense to me is that we are changing formation and maybe going to do away with the traditional wing play and maybe switch to a more interchangeable and fluid formation where everybody up front can move about, pass, and knows where the goal is.
Shame on those who think Rooney is leaving.
