“It wasn’t disloyalty because I got another year out of him when he wanted to go the previous year. He honoured that and was fantastic for us. He went with our blessing. “My way of looking at it is that we were lucky to have him for six years and the United fans would share that.” Guess who? I'll help you out, it's a man some people refuse to question on many, many issues. i'm one of those people who as it goes. but i don't feel the warmth for ronnie like the wizard does. the single fact that he left isn't the reason. nice to see i've got some support at last on pressing ahead for Bale, even if it is somewhat unlikely that we'd get him. "overrated", "only had one good game" - i'm not hearing much of that anymore from what was a good percentage of posters across the board. pretty blinkered. [not saying you were among them one-love] Paul - where are you hearing that this is 90% done. [lewandovski] source? i'm seeing nowt. again on rooney - sell BGW? no way.

Sorry but this is a dick head comment everyone to their own but. the difference between RVP and Rooney concerning the incident is RVP would not stay with his club of 10 years for no amount of money, Rooney did, it might not have been the best way to go about it but RVP did exactly what Rooney did this season and before the start of last season demanding Wenger buy better players. What Ronnie did was 50x worse (im being treated like a slave) and everyone still sucks him. now look at his situation wanting to come back and like dick heads we will be there with open arms after he fucked us No, it's not a dick head comment in the slightest. I'm not saying we should sell him. But I'd seriously consider any big offer that came in for him. I'd rather we keep him, but I wouldn't be as upset to lose him as I would have been a few seasons ago. And you've just nailed it by comparing RvP to Rooney. Rooney did it to get more money, RvP left because he had ambitions Arsenal couldn't fulfill. He could have gone to City for more money, but wanted to come to us. Rooney question the club's ambition. OUR AMBITION FOR FUCKS SAKE!!! And in the process he made Fergie look weak by getting him to bend over for a player. Of course no United player is immune from possibly being sold in the future, don't think anybodys denying that. That said, i would feel it's highly unlikely that Rooney will be moving on in the near future or even within the next couple of seasons for that matter.

jimbo - the sources ive seen im just referring them as most of what they sat is utter shit. The Daily Mail have said it and so have these. soccerwithoutlimits.com/german-paper-claims-manchester-united-have-agreed-terms-for-robert-lewandowski/12875/As far as Bale is concerned ive wanted him at OT since he moved to Spurs. Might seem unlikely but never write it off, RVP? nobody expected that arrival so we can all hope. Also pisses me off when people even consider selling Wazza. Its a stupid theory. Hes our best player, why would we even consider it. Heard a few people off here saying it aswell.

However flaky the sources, this link to Lewandowski isn't going away, that's for sure.

Even though I was one of those people (my opinion of Bale has varied), and he has definitely been over-rated in the past e. g. winning Young Player of the Year. You can't level it at him now though. He's made himself the most important man in that Spurs team now that Modric and VDV are away and has performed in a big way against the likes of city and us. That's my benchmark for potential United players. I'd love to see him walking out in OT with a United shirt on his back. When he was younger his obvious love for playing football was a joy, but now he's at a stage where just that same love of playing isn't enough. He needs to show the same sort of commitment desire to be the very best, which I'm not sure he has.

Instead of selling someone to make room, how about erm you know, not selling anyone and buying a fucking player we need rather than another luxury buy. Were leaking in goals, we could buy 10 strikers but if were leaking the goals then whats the point. Our back four is our main priority so surely it only makes sense to toughen that up first? Don't forget, that's what a lot of people were saying when we were linked with RvP in the summer.

As for Bale, I would love it if he joined us. I think he is overrated at the moment, but I feel he has a lot more to give - I want that to be in the red of United.

Don't forget, that's what a lot of people were saying when we were linked with RvP in the summer. you've got to draw a line somewhere. Ferguson's always talked about four good strikers and now has got as balanced a set of 4 top strikers as we're likely to be able to manage, that's not even including kagawa who claims to be a number 10, who would make FIVE. i suspect he's going to be in the market for a center half next summer. plus if he's tempted to finally sign that center mid we all want, and the reported 40mil per summer spending money is true, i don't see him having the money for another striker, unless he moves on chico for money and squad space, which i can't see happening.

This deal is apparently 90% done. Don't get me wrong hes a quality player and will no doubt get amongst the goals, but I don't see where hes gonna fit in. Even if Rooney sits in midfield that means Clevs or Kagawa will miss out, If indeed you believe we're nailing this down, it certainly shouldn't be Kagawa missing out. They had some excellent link up and if it was true that would definitely be the masterplan. Still, strange one. Not sure if its just agent stirrings of a player on ~18months of contract, a player were probably enquired about before we nailed down RVP. If we hadn't got RVP we'd be clamouring for this signing.

I just meant that if we were to be signing him, that would be a consideration. Personally I don't think we will, but I've been wrong plenty of times before when it comes to transfers
