He is a decent player but wouldn't cost any less than 25 mill. I'd not be willing to spend that kind of money on a player like him.

Areba, they are indeed wretched but their religion doesn't/shouldn't come into it. Anyway, we've moved on.

if indeed the 30 Mil is still available , might as well spend on a player like Moutinho ,Levy won't talk for any less than 40 Mil , Sahin ain't moving , we are no closer to Vidal or Montolivo or Thiago , not many are interested in Cabaye here and Tiote will cost 20 Mil , to that 30 Million for Moutinho does sound better.

It really doesn't matter what anybody on this forum thinks. It is what Fergie and his staff want mate.

WE could say that for every player who has a thread we'd want to sign , wouldn't make the forum interesting the would it sleel-- part of the fun is in contemplation mate

Article in the Times today stating 'United have informally asked Porto how much he's valued at'..

Answer: £50 million or equally stupid fee.
Hopefully they'll ask for something reasonable though. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a United shirt.

AVB is now at Spurs. We will definitely face competition if we are to ask about Moutinho.

I'm hoping AVB is busy trying to convice Modric to stay for a bit.

Hmm yeah, for their sake anyways. If Modric goes, it could spark an exodus. Most Spurs fans surprisingly think AVB is a bad signing for manager. Most are already dreading the next season

Top player, very attacking minded. Loved watching him boss the midfield in the euros.
He's a player in demand though so I doubt we'll get him. Other clubs will most likely out bid us as per usual.

I see him as a cheap alternative, so if the fee is over £20 million then I don't see the point in buying him.
Seems likely that we are negotiating with Porto for somebody but unclear who. Papers have gone from Hulk to Rodriguez and now to Moutinho.

Saw reports that Moutinho prefers us over Spurs could be hogwash but still little hope there , secondly AVB has a lot in his hands , He needs to strengthen his squad - defense and Strikers first.
He may go or have to go for Ade or a striker first before going for Moutinho IMO , besides Modric is a big issue as Beastie says that needs to be sorted on priority
