Moutinho, Could be a massive signing,perfect age to be with us for years, and if he adapts to the epl well and improves he could be our best BOUGHT midfielder for a long long time

from what i've seen of moutinho at the euros he'd be an excellent partner for carrick. would rather have him than luka modric

AVB is now at Spurs. We will definitely face competition if we are to ask about Moutinho. Have some thoughts about this: 1) This is spurs we are talking about, and more specifically Levy. if they go in for the this player, most likely we can match/beat their best offer. I suspect Levy drives no easier a bargain with his buys than with his sales, thus i dont expect him to be paying over the odds for any player; 2) If the player has to choose between WHL and Old Trafford. and more specifically consistent CL competition/honours Vs. only a possibility of either, i would hope the common sense choice would be reached and he would come to us. (on the other hand, what would be reaction from the United Faithful if he does choose Spurs over us, assuming both were in for him? i dread the thought) |

Yeah, i've been picturing him the entire day playing next to Carrick. Not all out defensive, but his control, the accuracy of his passing and his ability to keep the ball makes him a fantastic all rounder for that position as he's also able to tackle.
It's sort of too good of a deal, he's the right age too, and he'll likely be available for around 25 mil.
The only real problem with this deal is the fact that tommy didn't start this thread so, as we're all well aware, this will likely not happen.
I'm excited though!

Ill take Moutinho with open arms always have been impressed. 25 is somewhat steep however.
