Well, we bought Pogba a house, so we should probably get this guy a hotel.

If reports are to be believed then all we have to do is win over his family and we should be able to get him. Just read this but have no idea whether it is true... "Jim Lawlor, Manchester United chief scout is said to have led a delegation to Brazil in an attempt to meet the midfielder’s family who own part of Moura’s rights."

Be Mental if we sign him, from what I've seen he's the greediest player ever, seen him play mostly wide right all though he's an attacking mid. Magical/frustrating.....sounds similar to Nani!

seeing as this story started in The Mirror, how much confidence can we put on it? Im trying not to get too worked up about this one, a move for RVP would make more sense to me, honestly. That is not because i dont rate Lucas, if anything its because of the complete opposite. The boy's class, and has been for a while now. And with Real sniffing around, the price tends to get unrealistic for these Brazilian wonder kids.
so can The Mirror be trusted, or is this just one of those 'from thin air' stories?

No source is 100%. Every story in every paper should be taken with a massive pinch of salt no matter how big a name the player is (or isnt), or how high or low the fee "quoted" is.
Except for goal.com and caughtoffside.com which are 100% BS

This would be one of those fantasy signings I could see us doing at £10-13m when nobody's really heard of him, but at £30m plus with all the free spenders in world football involved? It just doesn't sound like the United way. Having said that, this is exactly the type of player I'd love for us to sign. Exciting, flashy, can do things with a football that nobody else can and probably goes over way too easily which would wind the ABU's up something awful.

I think I read awhile back that of hte English papers the Mirror and suprisingly the Guardian had the highest % of correct rumours. But they were still terrible!

I'll tell you why I think here might be a chance of us pulling off a blockbuster signing this summer. The Glazers have many "qualities" but stupidity isn't one. Moxdevil and myself watch a fair bit of American football so he can back me up here. Last season was pretty much the point of no return for the Bucaneers and their fans. They have been garbage over the years bar the mad Superbowl but a couple of seasons ago the had a half decent side, almost by fluke. They did noting to add to it and last year were a shambles. There were media blackouts, where a game can't be shown on TV as it's not a sell out. Now, you have to really go out of your way to fuck up a franchise in the NFL but our friends have managed it:
"The team had never had a blacked out game at Raymond James Stadium, dating from the time it opened in 1998 until the 2010 season arrived.
But in the past two years, 13 regular season home games have been kept off local TV because they didn't sell out."
So how did Uncle Malc react to this PR disaster? (And i heard from a friend that follows them that the NFL had a word about what might happen in the future if this kept up) He went out and spent some money. Serious money. For the first time in an age they were in the running for the big boys in the off season. And they got some of them.
I now it's different at Utd. But maybe, just maybe there is a chance of someting similar happening.

Have been very impressed by Lucas Moura, mainly for his eye for goal. 30 some mil is the estimated value? Not sure if id rather get a more proven Moutinho type or this starlet.

BTW, I'm not comparing our season just gone with the Bucs disasters. But apart from the leagu, last year by Utd standards was a disaster of epic proportions. So maybe they might react, who knows?
