Done. Barca for £16mill, 2 year deal. Fuck me. That is peanuts for a player of Song's quality in today's market.

Thats a rather large outlay for a 2 year deal.
The Arsenal share-holders are having a fine summer.

strange transfer.
reckon arsenal have got a good price for someone i'd only consider a decent player. it's not like they've sold van Persie or owt.

I would have thought they could strangle more out of Barcelona than £16 million, but I suppose they're putting a lot of faith in Ramsey and Wilshere etc.
Hopefully this backfires and we poach Jackie-boy next summer. (Actually - and this is out of the blue, and off topic, but is a weird story - In my Schalke FM career game, Wilshere was released by Arsenal in about 2015, signed for Celtic on a free, was bought for Wigan for £6 million in January 2016, and then Arsenal bought him back the next summer (2017) for around £14 million and now don't play him again. WTF?!)

yeah if wilshere could put his injury problems behind him he'd be the ideal player for our center midfield. Perfect partner for Carrick, club and country.

from what i've seen of both players Wilshere is better. minus the injury problems he's a 40mil player in todays market.
hopefully come the end of the season cleverley will prove you right and show that the gap isn't as big as i think

Thats a rather large outlay for a 2 year deal. The Arsenal share-holders are having a fine summer. Ignore the 2 year thing that was just an error from some journo yesterday its a normal 4/5 year deal. I'd have happily taken him for £16mill. Arsenal just a feeder club now. On Wilshere, hes missed about 16 months of football. We'll have to see how well he come back from that.

Cleverley is as good, and neither of them are £40 million players yet. I meant Wilshere to play with Clevs, not instead of him. As for Song and as I said before, £16 million is nothing really.

Wilshere will improve too. Like Cleverley he's not the finished article yet. But who knows what he'll be like after the double injury. He needs to get back onto the pitch first.

in todays market where 40 mil is the new benchmark for the best players arsenal would be holding out for a fee in this region, especially if united or city or chelsea came calling.
and i said 'as long as the injuries are behind him' - this is key.
