I like Rafael. He's still young and thus still learning. Long term he's a great prospect at RB, but in the short term he's bound to make mistakes. I'd be much more worried about Evra who is experienced yet gets rinsed seemingly every single week. I thought Evra was good against Fulham. Certainly the best I've seen him play for a while. |

i feel almost dirty having criticised one of our own yesterday, i usually look at the positive side of all things United. and he did look very good going forward.
i know he's 22 which is young.but he's a relatively experienced player now and has played a lot of football. i don't think you can put those pointless, rash tackles high up the pitch down to age. it's stupidity.
why was he left out for goodison, am i right to guess it was because he wasn't trusted? this old one again?

For height/strength in the air? Valencia could be considered stronger tha Rafa in both those areas.

I've just seen his post-match interview on MUTV yesterday. Massive smile on his face, dead cheerful, spoke really well. He seems like such a brilliant lad even if he doesn't defend like a Champion just yet.

i actually like it that rafael flys into tackles and has that bit of crazyness about him.
we need someone like that.
my only critisism is that he gets upper body strength so he doesnt get bumped off the ball or tackles so easily.
i want him to be the right back in as much games as possible this season.

Rafael's actually a really good tackler, yes he get's caught out of position every now and then, but he's quick enough to recover. Hopefully it's something we can work on with him over the course of the season.
