yeah he defo chose the right game to play if he fancies this move.
he looked good today. a strong driving force from the center of the pitch, something we don't have [and are still waiting for on a consistent basis from ando].

Its that combination of finesse with strength that impressed me the most. He was brushing aside Clevers and Kagawa with ease at times. Very calm under pressure too.

if anyone has seen plenty of him, what's he like defending on the edge of his own box, i.e. does he mind mucking in with a bit of defending or is he all about getting forward?

He has a very good work rate, is good in the tackle and appears to be tactically astute and well disciplined, especially when you consider his more advanced role of two seasons ago.I think he is a smashing player, great under pressure, good skills, fast and as strong as Valencia.

At the very least he'd give us someone with a bit of height, strength and power. He may or may not actually be a better footballer than most of our alternatives, but he'd us that physical presence we lack without an in-form Fletcher. Surely he'd be worth the punt just to give us some depth. Even if he is more attack minded, well that suits us better anyway.

With the way our Midfield is looking up and knowing there aren;t going to be any changes , i'd say he will offer us what we lack and that is strong physical presence who can at least match the likes of Fellaini and Yaya Toure and also keep possession. He looked good in today's game so if this transfer can give us some Muscle, holding power in the middle and extra presence in set pieces( shit to death of the short pass routine and first man delivery) well that's good then. With his contract situation and all he fits into our policy very well. But that said don't know if we can buy anyone till we sell at least Berba.

Berbatov deserves so much better than Fulham. Totally agree Bestie but they`re not exactly queuing out the door for his services and I would rather he got some games for a decent club than play under 21 games.

Now that would be lovely. Don't see Berbatov agreeing to move there though, he'll believe he can do better, regardless of whether there is a cue lining up for him or not, I suspect.

I wasn't sold on him but have to admit he certainly impressed me yesterday.
The commentator likened him to Gazza, and I see what he means, he has that same surging run and upper body strength to hold players off as he goes past them.
Watching him I was thinking he plays like the player we wanted Anderson to become, driving forward with the ball using pace, skill and power. Anderson is young enough to still do this, and I'm not gonna demand we go get this guy after one solid performance, but if he keeps that up over the season, I'd certainly like us to go for him next summer.

I don't think it was a one off performance. It was standard for Dembele.
Would love to see him alongside TC or Carrick in our midfield.
Also, where are the people who said he was average?
