Pretty much every sport then Yup. The yesteryear English colonies are performing better than the England team in many sports There was a resurgence around the time of the last commonwealth games. England won at everything. We're back to being shit now.

2nd test is a bit of a snoozefest. Happy to flog the Aussies but wish it was a little bit more competitive... See

We're back to being shit now. Yeah correct. Made a killing in Swimming and Gymnastics. I think England have been traditionally good at the Commonwealth games, majorly due to the quality of the opposition. Only Australia give England a run for their money at the Games.

Yes, probably goes into their head. I always thought that KP had the charisma and acumen to be a successful captain. But, dont know what is the problem between him and the board. A potentially brilliant career cut short. Not that I care a lot about English cricket, but its disappointing that one of the founding nations of the sport are being dismal at major events. Pretty much every sport thenMakes you wonder why. England football World Champions 1966 and have not won anything else since. England World Rugby Union Champions 2003 and have not won anything else since World Cup wise. Too me it all goes down too the people in charge above the manager/coach. They sit in their little glass towers around a directors table supping their wines and saying "we will do this, we will do that too remain on top...." and then do nothing. Then its the manager/coach that gets the blame and then the bullet. Never ending story really. The England Football team should have at least won another 2 World Cups and maybe 3 European Champions cups since 1966. But them people sitting in their glass towers supping their wine cannot see that.

A run for their money? Australia usually demoralises and destroys England (although half the events are swimming) It changed during the last one. Rugby and Cricket was going well. Must have been a purple patch.

Meant to say 'gave' in the last edition. They are usually 2nd, so you can call England best of the rest in the Commonwealth Games. Today, proved too strong for Scotland after being decimated by NZ. Would be keen to see how they play against other minnows. Afgan & Bangla would not be easy meat for Eng. The favorites Aus, NZ and last defending champions India are destroying their opponents.

At the time of posting this, Ireland seen to be bludgeoning their way to another win. Competitive target set by UAE. Ireland were in trouble, but Wilson palyed really well and Kevin O'Brien playing a wonderful cameo - 50 of 25 balls. Would be surprised if Ireland go through to the knockout stages from a group containing SA, India, Pak and WI, but cant rule that out. They have already upset WI. 1 more upset is all it takes.
