Regardless of old Fletch or not, he will fare better than Felli We really missed Fletch. Think if he had not his unfortunate illness, he could have been pairing it up with Carrick. He harrasses and chases down players, and has the speed for it. To think of it, a thought crossed my mind whether Cleverley will mature into the "next" Fletcher - perhaps technically better. Anyway, best not to rush it. Hope he continues to improve his situation. 29 years is too young to gamble the rest of your life for a few games, Fletch! All the best to him.

Loved Fletch and he really became an outstanding for us back in 2009 however that being said I don't really see a future for the lad at United, he's just been out of the game too long to compete at that level. Anyway I wish him well with his recovery.

Rothwell is good. Very good in fact. As are Ben Pearson, Jack Barmby and James Wilson. Lots of good talent in the youth level teams.

Rothwell, Ben Pearson, Jack Barmby.
I would play all three before playing Fellaini or Giggs in our midfield.
I pray Wilson gets a genuine chance too.

I'd play Pearson now, but he's still 17 I think. Might be a big ask to throw him in the starting XI. If we'd done our job in Sociedad, I'd be willing to give him a subs spot for Shakhtar.

Totally, from what I've seen he's anything but easily intimidated. Would love to see a youngster given a go.
Powell will surely get a few opportunities when he returns, so too should Januzaj and Pearson hopefully.

Nevermind his age. He's 18, and 19 in January.
Play him, it isn't like we're pulling up trees with the current pretenders.

If you were to guarantee me that Pearson, Powell, Barmby, Peirera, Rothwell and a couple of others would play, I would accept no midfield signings for the next two years.
But they won't, and we'll be stuck with Giggs and Fellaini, an aging Carrick or Ando. Cleverley has to step it up again, and Jones will be the world's second best centre-back (after Jonny Evans, obviously) before he hits 30.
