I have never seen rothwell play as much as i have seen Barmby or Peirera, Maybe didn't catch my eye or didn;t see him not sure. But its nice to know that we have some exciting talent in the youth setup we will be shedding tears over when they leave us. Its always fun that one -- Not.
If we could get back Powell and give him a go it'd be nice but someone said that he's doing good and may not come back. Lingard too seems to be doing good. Wish we'd give these kids a chance to see if they can make the big jump instead its most likely that we'd send them on loan where they may not get game time and then decide to just let them go. Seems the unwritten Rule of age for First Team appearances is 21-22 nowadays at our club

Players are playing well into their 30's now & the League is at a higher level than it was in 92.

Attaining success is easier than maintaining it at our 'elite' level.
Look at Blackburn, Chelsea, and city. All bought the League within a couple of seasons but couldn't consistently go on to notch up two or three in a row (Chelsea got two, I know, but they have only done it once.)
That's where Fergie was genius.

Bloody hell, I always thought he'd still be keeping up with some kind of training as it wasn't an injury as such. It's amazing he's back at all. Some people never recover from a season out after an operation as they are physically unable to reach the same levels again & their confidence is shot. He's been out for two years. Hope he plays against Stoke

I'm really glad he's back. What a trooper. Fantastic. I never imagined him to play again - but yet here he is in our first team. I reckon even though Januzaj stole the show, and people were watching what Kagawa could do in the middle today (Sat, 11th Jan '14) - Fletcher, has done tireless work for them to do what they could.
Glad to have him back.

I'll go ahead and say it...
It feels like a new signing.

Refreshing to see and also pains me to see we've wasted 27m on a fucking tree when we didn't have to.

Glad to have him back. Yep pretty much echo's what I said in match thread. His willingness to support the attacks, to always provide a willing passing option was vital. It is great to have him back, I didn't think it would happen, or at least told myself not to hope. Loved his cheeky back heel.

It seems that since he's come back, he's sitting back more rather than going full pelt, which is the probably due to medical advice, and it's working well for him. Probably what we need right now. Did very well.

Ran the show in the second half. Did everything we needed to give Jani, Kags, Danno, and Tony V the platform to cause Swansea nightmares.

Brilliant footballer. I missed him while he was away.

Love the guy, his attitude, passion and desire is immense and he can play football to. Each game he gets is bringing his fitness levels up. I wish he could have another game before the rents match to fine tune his fitness a little more, but the guy rarely goes missing in the big games....
A certain young Tom would do well to join himself at the hip to Darren and learn from him....

Imagine if we could somehow get Cleverley (young, United-raised, takes a lot of stick because no-one 'can see what he brings beyond running') to match the kind of step up that Fletch gave us, seemingly from nowhere according to many.

I was thinking along those lines. I think with Tom right now, he is trying way way to hard to impress. He needs to relax and just do his thing and not what people (press and fans) expect him to do, those things will come in time. Its almost as if he needs to step back to go forward if that makes any bloody sense and thats where Fletch can guide him.
