RIP Clive Burr.
For those of you who don't know him, he was the former drummer in Iron Maiden, and played on some of my favourite tracks for my favourite band. He died, aged 56, after a long battle with MS.

a really underrated English band was Diamond Head. without them bands like Metallica may have sounded very different. I also think Sabbath are underrated. Most non-fans think of the song paranoid, which is the most boring song they've done. they are the daddies. It's strange to call Zepellin underrated, but i don't know many people who are as into them as me. if you like Punk then check out the Wildhearts, another underrated English band. Ginger Wildheart does a lot of solo stuff now. i still like the Stone Roses [what United fan doesn't] the clash, happy mondays, stuff from that era. had the big Oasis obsession at one point. quite like some old school hip hop, also if you like stuff from the dubstep / digital age check out Burial, very chilled out, bit more subtle. Middle Class Rut - noisy little 2-piece from the states, they've played download. i don't know anyone else who's actually heard of them, and i've asked a good few people, even at festivals no cunt seems to have heard of them. first stuff i really got into as a kid was MJ, first album i ever bought was Dangerous. used to love watching his movies, he really was the coolest mofo ever. also if you're after some obscure underground act with a half-mad female vocalist....ask Bo If you're talking Sabbath it's all about the Dio years.

And now for something completely different. The missus and I just got back from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where I dragged her to see Alesso and Otto Knows. Absolutely mind blowing stuff. When The Veldt became Don't You Worry Child the place went off!!! Neither of them were my favourite songs in the world, but every time I play them now I just can't stop smiling!

You're wrong. So very wrong. Black Sabbath just aren't Black Sabbath without Ozzy.

Iommi is the daddy Neon knight? Children of the sea? Saw them with Dio about two years agi. Probably going to see them with Ozzy next month. Id be suprised if ozzy could still deliver live like Dio could. dio's solo stuff was better than his Sabbath stuff. Last in line is probably my all time favourite song

Oh definitely, Dio was a better performer towards the end than Ozzy is these days. But classic Sabbath have so many better songs than Dio-era.
And yes, Dio's solo stuff is superior to his Sabbath stuff.

Watched Xavier Rudd last night under the shadow of Table Mountain, so immense. This guy is a truly masterful musician, he was playing so many different instruments throughout the show, blown away.
