Does anyone have a link for all the tributes Sir Alex has received so far from the football fraternity? I assume it would be some compilation! Just read quotes from Henry and Pele. Would be great to have them altogether in one place.

First player to speak up -
Chicha: Boss been a blessing
Javier Hernandez has paid tribute to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 71-year-old Reds boss will retire at the end of the current season following more than 26 years at the Old Trafford helm.
Striker Hernandez, who joined the club in the summer of 2010, told TV Azteca in his native Mexico that he is enormously proud to have worked under a manager many in football regard as the best ever.
“When I retire it will be satisfying to say that I was one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s boys,” he said.
“But it’s more than an anecdote for me. I see it as an achievement and a blessing. It’s a source of pride to say I was with one of the best coaches in history.
“Something that impresses me is that he never lost his competitiveness. In spite of everything he won he continues to be hungry. He’s a winner.”
Sir Alex will take charge of two more games for Manchester United: Sunday’s clash against Swansea City at Old Trafford and the Reds’ final match of the season, away at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday 19 May.

I've been a long time watcher from afar and admirer of RoM's forums. Now feels like the right time to come out of the shadows, even just for Fergie.
Without a doubt one of my favourite stories about him comes from a head waiter (and a blue) at a restaurant round my way, which happens to be one of Sir Alex's favourites. One night a few years ago, the waiter was telling us about his and Fergie's banter had started to escalate as City started spunking £50 notes, everything from signings, the first Rooney debacle, and that "blue moon rising" crap.
Not one to ever, ever be bettered, Fergie got his own back when they got knocked out of the Europa League. He hopped in his car, drove the 20 minutes to the restaurant beaming the whole way, did his little dad-run inside, fist-pumped and cheered at the waiter and left straight away, absolutely pissing himself.
It's one of those stories I'll never, ever tire of thinking about, and it goes to show that as well as being one of the most incredible people in the history of sport, he's just a lovely, lovely, bloke who's always up for a laugh.
Words will never be able to do justice to how amazing he actually is and has been for this club.
Cheers Fergie

It's weird, but that cartoon has actually hit me. Visualising Fergie actually leaving for the last time has really hammered it home. Of all the things to tip me over the edge, why the fuck is it a silly cartoon.

Been avoiding this thread, too raw still. Actually dreading Sunday, that's when it'll really hit home.

I know what you mean Stew, but I'm also looking forward to Sunday. What a celebration it will be. It'll be bittersweet, sure, but how many teams get a chance to send off a manager the way we will?

Totally man, It literally just visualizes what we're all feeling, the final departure of the gaffer, leaving everything behind.
