Just finished Gen V last night, ready to start the fourth series of The Boys. My word, that Jaz Sinclair is absolutely stunning! Good spin off show.

Lord of the Rings show's pilot was so boring I couldn't go further. Sounds like it's gotten worse.
House of the Dragon was much better IMO but season 2 definitely dragged unnecessarily. If you've read the books you know what is coming next and it's ridiculous they didn't end the season with it. You can really tell HBO cut the budget late on in planning.

I guess I've completed the trilogy now with Masters of the air. The end of each series hits me when they give a brief synopsis of the characters lives after the war. So many brave young men. Incredible.

I randomly go back and watch Entourage on HBO, nothing special about the show other than Jeremy Piven's performance as Ari Gold but it was a special time capsule to my teenage/early adult year.
Also, seasons 3-6 in Game of Thrones is probably the best stretch in a tv series ever made. Re watching it for millionth time right now and still blown away by just good the writing/acting in that stretch really was.

I randomly go back and watch Entourage on HBO, nothing special about the show other than Jeremy Piven's performance as Ari Gold but it was a special time capsule to my teenage/early adult year. Also, seasons 3-6 in Game of Thrones is probably the best stretch in a tv series ever made. Re watching it for millionth time right now and still blown away by just good the writing/acting in that stretch really was. I just finished re-watching breaking bad (my 4th time) with my 19yr old son(first time). It crosses generations as the best series ever, he fucking loved it, and he's never watched anything other than YouTube shit and tiktok |

Binged it a few months ago, but if you hadn’t mentioned it here, I would have no idea that the new series was out. Proper weird Apple TV. Spend a billion quid on every single show they knock out and only promote the one about the football bloke. Anyway. I’ll be all over that tonight. |

I didn't like the series as a whole just from a personal preference but like the Sopranos, GOT, and The Wire there aren't many better than. Just all at a level above the rest. |

Unfortunately, the rushed ending probably means the series as a whole can’t take that accolade. Has to be The Sopranos or The Wire for number one. Would have Succession up there too. Embarrassingly for someone who watches so much T.V I’ve still never seen Breaking Bad. It completely passed me by and I’ve never got around to it. Should probably rectify that. |

I don't get too worked up on 7/8 just because the source material wasn't there but it was soured with how they chose to end it |
