Yes or no? We are being linked in the red tops with a possible bid, certainly not a 40 mill player & appeared to not have the best of season at madrid.

For the sake of signing a "named" players Yes.. But will he strengthen the midfield? i don't think so. I want someone who will get stuck in and tackle! Possible replacement for Rooney? yes

Him + Fellaini would be a good summer IMO.
And to think, he was solf to Real for 12.5m. No value in the market.

But will he strengthen the midfield? i don't think so. ? Jay i don't see Ozil as a central midfielder i see him more a #10 and very similar to Kags. I'd see it as strengthening our attacking options rather than the midfield. I'd share the same view with Modric too.. just my opinion.

Thing is Scholes was an Ozil and Kagawa type of player. Not very defensive at all. Still played in cm not behind the forward.

Totally, Ozil would no doubt be able to play slightly deeper, the best players are that dynamic.

Scholes fell deeper as he got older, i hate the term quarter back but Scholes is a one off.
I have found this thought regarding Ozil,
"Ozil's representatives have apparently told Madrid that he will welcome a move to Manchester United if Bale's move materialises"
