i'll just put this out there: if we end up selling a CM, Anderson or otherwise, and don't actually bring one in this window im gonna be pissed!
the last thing we need to do is be depleting the worst stocked area of our first team, at least Anderson is serviceable for 45-60 mins, without him there and no replacement...... well lets just see if this is really what DD has in mind.

mkjstake or not i think fellaini will come good for us. he is a limited player, we bought him to play at the center of the park, he will not be our number 10 so we can lump it. he is a center mid, he just needs to do the basics of what fletcher does and get in the oppositions face, learn to tackle, cut his hair and the bookings will stop

As Bestie pointed out earlier, until we do something similar to what Belgium do with Fellani he'll look lost. And if we play him with Carrick it's exacerbated.

I do disagree with the sentiment. Fellaini is twenty-six, so far has shown nothing to suggest he can make a genuine impact for us whether that be as a regular starter or as a fall-back, and seems only to shine in positions/formations we will not and should not be using just to accomdate him. (Three in the centre of midfield or Fellaini as an advanced 'hoof target' behind a striker.) EDIT: Oh, and if you could not call me retarded for typing Fellaini has looked shite, I'd appreciate that. Cheers.Glad Im not a Mod, I would of reached into my special locked cabinet that holds an antique ban hammer for use only on special occasions and swooshed it down like a hurricane

It's a shame as he was outstanding in the early part of his career but a combo of factors stopped him from becoming what we hoped. I don't think he ever recovered from Rome in 09.

I personally dont mind Ando staying or going, I do like the guys personality, however I also know we need consistent quality players. I also think Ando will do really well in a slower league, so it would be good for him personally to move with regards football....

Yep, think he could do ok in Italy. If we're letting a mid go we might be in for one or are pretty convinced that Fletch's troubles are completely behind him.

I would sell Fellaini, Ando and Clevs on a whim even if we do not get a new CM in the next couple of windows. Would rather give Tunners, Powell and Pearson a chance then keep praying any of those three start producing something remotely acceptable at their current wages.

Anderson wont do well in the Bunga Bunga parties. Too lazy according to an escort Ronnie lined up for him on his arrival in OT.

We already have Ando pretty much gone, Rio and Giggs to follow, Evra to be replaced as a near number 1 priority, dispensing of at least 1 winger, a very real possibility of Rooney and Vidic going. Forgive me for finding the concept of then choosing to dispose of Felliani a moronic idea (apologies for retarded). Once again I'm talking in the whole concept of this thread, in the whole 'if-i-was-in-charge' theme. We already have plenty of business to be doing, probably to much for these 2 windows already, to even contemplate doing something with Fellaini. But yeh if selling him off for a cut price seems to be a win for people around here, so be it. I'll just be glad the fans aren't in charge. Off-load Fellaini and as others have mentioned, play Tunnicliffe, Pearson, and Ekangamene in his stead. That at least we build for the furtue by either blooding good enough youngsters or we know we need to find others.

I'd be up for giving Fellaini till summer 2015, he'd have had two seasons to show what he might be able to bring to the table. If it's not working then he can go.
The downside is that if we chose to sell now we might still get a nice fee for him, if he has two pretty anonymous seasons for us then we'd be lucky to get half of what we paid.
I was for signing him though, so still prepared to give him time (maybe just being stubborn).
As Bestie points out above we have some very talented young midfielders (can throw in Powell as well), so, if we are to sign a top class midfielder, then maybe letting 3 leave could be for the best. Ando and Giggs 2 obvious ones, could maybe review where Carrick is at in 2015 too as well as Fellaini.
A new top addition to go alongside Carrick, Fletch (if he keeps his fitness up), Cleverley (still usefull as a squad player), and Fellaini. With the young lads getting some game time, and if needed Jones can step in there.

While I like the idea of getting the young players involved, teenage CMs are a damn rarity. Tunnicliffe isn't good enough unless something drastic happened in his loan and its too early for the others*. This is my point, we still need a squad for next year, if he still doesn't fit summer 2015 and we have a player to step up, then it becomes a good idea. At this very moment we have room for at least 1 CM, with Ando and Giggs gone, at least 2. Combine that with a LB, a CB and winger, I just dont see the resources to ditch and replace a 3rd CM for the sake of it. *Secretly I hope Pearson will emerge as Carrick replacement in time anyway. Carrick being another who is probably about to decline relatively soon.
