ancelotti, top top dignified man and manager. class act. look at di maria this season, benzena improvement, yesterdays counter play, milan in their pomp. lets not look upon any of that as a weakness. he'd he just as good for gigs as van gaal. both managers would be great, but i'd give carlo the edge. can't see him leaving madrid

He may think, hang on United are pretty stable, so long as I do the right things! Madrid will most likely fire him anyway if he doesn't get a CL win and or the league. In fact even if he gets the league and not CL there is a huge chance he will be gone. Only basing it on there history of firing managers of course. I would hedge my bets that if United only have two choices, Gaal or Ancelottie and both want to come, I would say they would choose Ancelotti because of his nature, where as Gaal can be out spoken etc and we know the board dont like that, take Maureen for example. Just a thought! However my good friend, what is extremely nice about all this is, we are all debating on who we will get and lets be honest they are both top managers and that is a great feeling, something that has been very rare of late

I'm torn. Carlo is the safer option and apart from Bayern, I can't see him managing any other top club. His stint could be a longish one by which time Klopp might go somewhere else Van Gaal on the other hand, should be a transition manager till we can get Klopp but that's not a guarantee.

"This could mean that either Wayne Rooney or Robin van Persie would have to move to another position - possibly in midfield or on the wings. But would they be happy with that?"
Have to laugh at that line from the Mirror. Sure guys, van Gaal is going to consider displacing a genuine finisher with Van Basten-esque levels of technical ability for the lumbering Wonderbollocks oaf.
