I think the deal was done then, Joel Glazer was just waiting for the mathematically moment out of the CL to announce the firing of Moyes. This then give van Gaal a month to start scouting for players before his WC team comes to camp. I think Giggsy is going to play a big part during this period to help with the transfers. Tactically it makes sense, don't need a repeat of last summer with moyes arriving late for the transfer window. I'd agree with that, I'm convinced that Van Gaal has been already lined up, hence him being odds on with the bookies. Somebody's spilled the beans at the club on this, it's blindingly obvious.

LvG and Keane could potentially be brilliant but also an absolute disaster. Think it'd guarantee there'd be no players fucking about and taking it lightly though.

i get the euphoria about LVG, and i'd take him among most of the realistic targets, but if there is any real possibility that we could get Ancelotti, he would be my first choice.
Familiar with the league, and proven winner here too. Not as abrasive as LVG, and a man that loves attractive football.

it is understood the notion of Van Gaal replacing Moyes would not be well received by many of the players, who are aware of how the 62-year-old’s dictatorial style can be a source of conflict. However, one United player who would favour the appointment of Van Gaal is Robin van Persie, the striker who plays under him for Holland. www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/public/football/article4070252.ecelike to know who those players are?

Keane and Van Gaal has the makings of a disaster. Not saying things would definitely go wrong if they got together, but things could go SPECTACULARLY wrong if they did. Like a nuke.

Van Gaal for a year or two to pave the way for Klopp. Those players who think their attitude is to big should remember where they are. No one is bigger than the manager and the club.

Van Gaal won't be with us for two years if he's successful, no chance. Five or six years max, could even be slightly longer.

If he stays that long in football. He already said he was going to retire. Can't see him staying that long after considering retirement.
