If he stays that long in football. He already said he was going to retire. Can't see him staying that long after considering retirement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm glad Fergie never said he was retiring before he did last season, phew. True. But it's worth noting that we said he wants to retire is all I'm saying. He's already said he was planning on retiring but it would change completely if the right job came along. Can't recall which of his former players said it the other day but he said if Van Gaal comes in then we'll be looking at five years with him possibly more. Assuming Van Gaal points the ship in the right direction, it's going to take a season to get us back into the Champions League for starters. Also, he's going to be in the processing of moulding and shaping his squad in the next two windows, could take us a couple of seasons to bring back the Premiership, allied to that it could take us three to four years to win the Champions League again. Van Gaal isn't the type to bail out when a chance of winning the Champions League may arrive in time.

i get the euphoria about LVG, and i'd take him among most of the realistic targets, but if there is any real possibility that we could get Ancelotti, he would be my first choice. Familiar with the league, and proven winner here too. Not as abrasive as LVG, and a man that loves attractive football. I'm not really sure about Ancelotti, what sort of football has he played with teams other than Madrid in the past (I say other than Madrid as it'd be hard not to play good football with the team they have)? I can't even remember what Chelsea were like when he managed them to be honest as they've had that many different managers. One thing that's making me side with LvG is that I've read a few times that one of the reasons United like Ancelotti is his calm persona. Part of me wants LvG to come in and really sort out the squad and be ruthless, making sure Rooney doesn't think he's the kingpin anymore and he gets all the fuckers who have played at 50% all season working at 110% (or fucking them off). Ancelotti may well do this as well, but the thought of LvG going crazy at Rooney for trying to ping the ball 60 yards every he gets it is appealing

and then how long till Keane has another meltdown? the blokes bitter enough as it is Totally agree. If van Gaal comes with Keane as a package, fuck that right off. He is a bitter old man who was kicked out becasue he couldn't wait for Ronnie/Rooney to mature. That people are thinking of him as Asst Manager simply beggars belief, even if it is just the press!

wonderful stuff, would love to see Jeff Steling's reaction to this sort of jazz next season Haha! Well at least he's got passion for the game. That's a given and can't wait for him to put that passion into training. Rooney has been needing someone like this since the we offered him that megadeal. A manager who isn't intimidated by a player!! Sign him up! I'm getting giddy!

It was mentioned in a previous video, Van Gaal 'can be a bit mental'.
I said it last night, this guy is the type of manager we need. We deffo need to return to the us against the world days and if he's an arrogant so and so who has us playing total football then great.
Also heard he's tough but fair, so he'll actually scare the living daylights out of our squad with his methods when he arrives. Nothing wrong with a kick in the backside now and then.
We need a character, which he certainly is!!
