Have you studied the case? The girl had made several claims before and tweeted about how happy she was to be getting a pay day out of it. There was nothing violent about the crime. She went to his hotel room voluntarily and then woke up and said she didn't remember anything. No drugs were found in her system and no alcohol either. New video evidence shows she didn't even look intoxicated when entering the hotel room. If he loses his appeal then he's made a disgusting mistake but not something he can't come back from. Brendan Rodgers son imo did the exact same thing. Better Lawyers equals not guilty and allowed to keep playing football. Just saw this from earlier. Again, I can find no evidence that the girl made several claims before and as I said, no reporting of her tweeting is anywhere. Do you remember where you came across this stuff? no I don't remember writing that. Was a whike ago. Saw it on twitter but as I don't know the girls name it's hard to look it up. It was before the first trial if it happened at all. Edit. Vaguely remember seeing the tweet now.

Apparently an early tweet saying she was gonna win big and buy a Porsche or something. I find that very difficult to believe. Wouldn't that be at the centre of Evan's defence? She's not allowed to be mentioned so maybe wasn't admitted and wasn't allowed to be reported.

It would have been the centrepiece of his defence. It would have been reported yesterday. There is no way something like that would have gone unreported. They were allowed mention her sexual history. A previous, presumably unsuccessful claim of rape would have been brought up. It's fairly clear it was planted by certain parties to sully a reputation.

Again, these tweets and supposed previous claims are not being mentioned. Because there is no evidence that they really exist. The key to this trial was her sexual history and language used. To me this serves as a terrible precedent that has been set. Good (morally bankrupt) lawyers will use this from now on to their clients advantage, making it even harder to convict rapists.

Think people are going too far the other way after the verdict now. Maybe he didn't rape her but he's still an arsehole. He's a fraction of a man who at best has taken advantage of a drunk girl to cheat on his wife.
'All he did was cheat on his missus', as if that's fucking excusable?! You don't do that if you're a real man.
There are no winners here.

The article says it won't set a precedent. It was only used in this case because she had very similar sex two days before and two weeks after Ched and given how flinsy the case was that was as good as any evidence in the whole case to say it was consensual or not.

IBT Times:
"That bitch who ruined Ched Evans career deserves to die." "F*cking lying money whore bitch, she should be thrown in prison the c*nt". "She was gagging for it the whore." "The f*cking horrible little slut that ruined Ched Evans life needs strung up." "The girl that has ruined Ched Evans career deserve a boot in the teeth." "If I was Ched Evans i would find that whore and actually rape her this time!!"
This is a tiny selection of the tens of thousands of tweets that had been written about the woman who made an allegation of rape against footballer Ched Evans within an hour of him receiving a not-guilty verdict. Together, they form a masterclass in the reasons women do not come forward to report rape.
What is particularly striking is how overwhelmingly similar the posts are to those that flooded social media during Evans's first trial, and – crucially – after he had been found guilty. The woman at the centre of the case was named online thousands of times in spite of her legal right to anonymity, forcing her to change her identity and move home over and over again. That was after a court had found Evans guilty of rape at the initial trial.
Regardless of this fresh verdict, the court of public opinion has already tried the woman, decimating her name and finding her guilty. Now the process is being repeated again. But those arguing it is a justifiable response to the not-guilty verdict should look closely at the calls for this woman to be raped, to be beaten, to be murdered, and at the near-identical abuse that surfaced when a court had previously declared Evans guilty.
This is not really about the verdict at all. It is about the public's attitude towards women and rape victims in general.
This is apparent in the large number of tweets suggesting that false allegations of rape "happen all the time", or, to put it in the words of one tweeter: "This confirms that 80% of rape 'victims' are just drunk sluts who regret being a whore on a night out."
In reality, the rate of false allegations for rape is extremely low, and similar to that for other crimes.

Just saying it's out there. They're not reported on any website of repute. Here is why: ''..... it was only due to the hacking skills of a New York based fire fighter interested in the civil liberty aspect of the case who unearthed the only remaining copies in the cached copy of her account on a *French* Twitter server.' Preposterous.

People are lauding him as some sort of hero now he's been found not guilty but whether he's guilty or not, he's still an absolute cunt! People should be embarrassed with some of the rhetoric being used to describe him and that being aimed at the girl.

You don't do that if you're a real man. There are no winners here. Did I say it was excusable? No I didn't, all I said was he was guilty of being an idiot for doing the dirty on her, not guilty for what he was accused of. There's nothing to suggest he took advantage of her either, she may very well have been up for it as much as he was, the only thing was he should have known better being in a relationship. I hate cheating, had too much experience of it and wouldn't wish it on anyone. Ched's missus is an idiot for staying with him IMO but everyone's different. I did read a while back that the girl was bragging about money and what she was going to do with it, but that is just media talk so could very well be untrue. I agree there are no winners and he's certainly no hero either but given the sloppyness of the evidence even the first time, a guilty verdict should never have been given in the first place and most of this would have been avoided. I do have sympathy for the girl as well btw as some of the comments being made towards her are sick and uncalled for.

The biggest problem with any rape case is neither the victim nor the accused.
It's the fucking public opinion, the media opinion , celebrity opinion . The general public will either viciously vilify the accused or the victim, to suit their narrative and soothe their moral beliefs. Eliminate the opinion of the public and media in these matters and let the law do its fucking work I say.

Sadly the law doesn't always prevail, fortunately for Ched on this instance it did.
Do agree with your point on public opinion. When he was first charged everyone wanted him hanging from the nearest branch, now its the complete opposite, its the girl people want hanging. Sadly you'll always get muppets that will go that one step too far.
Unfortunately that's the negative side to the power of social media. People change with the click of a finger.
I always thought he was innocent simply because of the evidence not adding up, but just because one party is innocent doesn't mean the other is guilty. (I hold my hands up because I read facts on the trial that turned out to be untrue, however dont agree with any of the shit girl is receiving because of it)
