These rumours I hear on Sky make no sense. Anyone can tell he is not a centre back but if you play him in front of a back four your going to get a lot more from him. He's a very solid footballer, good passer of the ball, doesn't shit himself when he's put under pressure and he's intelligent. He's tailor made to play that defensive role in midfield. Most of the bad games he had last season where at centre back and mainly because he was physically dominated. It would be a pretty bad move to get rid of him. It would be an incredibly dumb ass move to get rid of Daly, stupid on the level of bringing Moyes back as manager, or offering to take Tater to an expensive restaurant and telling him to get whatever he wants an you'll pick up the tab.
If he goes on the transfer market, I'm pretty sure clubs like Barcelona and Madrid would be interested. FTFY Leave Daly alone Jose and Ed or I'll get hold of my buddy in New Orleans and Hoo-Doo your collective asses!

Daley is the utility player the type that Jose likes, don't think that he is gonna sell him. besides looking at out squad strength and the wonderful record we have with injuries Jose wouldn't be selling players who can play in more than one position

He rotates less than just about any manager I've seen. He must surely be wary of our injuries though.

Daley is ideal to keep in the squad, he's our new Phil Neville but better and with less shit hair. Technically excellent, great passer, good reader of the game, able to play at centre back, left back and central midfield. Popular with the fans and players too. Might be slow, small and easily bullied but having that kind of versatility in the squad is invaluable.

He isn't afraid to stick it in, and he has a nice mean streak in him, he will knock some people about coming at them from various Blind spots (Good pun huh?? )

Blind needs to stay, but only as a CM, backup LB and when injury crisis hits, as a CB.

Mata being sold so far has been paper talk with repeated references to him being sold from chelsea. I doubt if Jose will repeat the same again. Even if he does think it would be best till we see what actually happens It can't be bigger that Kags was sent off and that was after many had spent days together on kags thread Hate Moyes, VG and PHC for that ...

I feel sorry for Daley if this is true, he has been one of our most consistent players, even when being played out of position by the loon of a Manager, he is one of the few in our squad that can actually pick a pass, though why the Loon had him taking corners was beyond me. I know some have pointed that he got caught out a few times and it cost goals, but I would like to suggest if we went back and looked at the tapes, he was caught out because he was pushing foward and then Rooney gave the ball away needlessly as he has been prone to do and Daley was burned in the Counter attack. I think his best position is as a defensive mid fielder playing just in front of the back four, possibly dropping into cover the LB when Shaw is ripping up the left wing.

For the newly converted such as myself Nice, welcome aboard, a few (perhaps even many) of us were quite vocal in our support of Blind's worth last season already.
