Is there a thread for this ?
Basically, over the last year or so, we have all spoken a lot (some sense, most of it nonsense) about our team's fortunes, perceived mistakes in the transfer window, etc.
Basically we've talked a lot and its time to be held accountable. What have you said over the past year repeatedly and have been proven wrong now?
I'll start . I thought Falcao would be awesome under Mourinho and we were making a huge mistake letting him go. Boy was I wrong. He has been ghastly.
Also, Pedro. Thought he would also transform Chelsea and us and was gutted to lose out to him, looks like he has been struggling to adapt to the league.
To a lesser extent , Martial's unfettered brilliance has proved us wrong that he would take time to prove himself !
So go on, atone for your sins, and repent!

Pedro and Martial for me. Time will tell on me claiming we won't win the league in the next two seasons. I'm already up for a title challenge this season.

There was a time that I actually thought (and stated) that Jonny Evans would be a United captain.
I'm fairly sure it's clear who's won this particular round.

Falcao, Pedro, Otamendi, Blind at CB (mostly) and even Smalling to an extent after City away last year. I'm sure there's more but that's what comes to mind straight away.
Great thread btw!
Also, at present I still have serious doubts about Jones. However, if he keeps up the level of performance from the weekend and somehow manages to ward off his injury curse, I will happily add him to this list.

The Tree, Mop Head etc. Always thought he was a liability. Then he scored and I liked him, then I did not like him again, then......fuck, he is still here like him or not

The word "Smalling" isn't appearing anywhere near enough in here, considering Alt and myself fought an almost continual battle on his behalf since Christmas......

You won't find a single post from me where I slated Smalling. Even during the dark days I had faith. Although my strongest defence of Mike has been verbally amongst my (mostly) Arsenal mates; on ROM I just ignored anti Smalls posts.

ADM thought he would be amazing for us anderson. his first couple of years i figured he would progress to such an extent that we wouldn't talk about keane anymore.

I was dead wrong on Martial (so far), lets be fair, its hard not to be blinded by that fee for someone very few of us heard of. I come from a generation where 15m was too much for Alan Shearer. Obviously I need to rethink inflation. Though I still stand by what I think has been an enormous mismanagement of this club in the transfer window and LVG getting it wrong more often than not. We have spent enormous money on this squad. I expect to see a strike force to put the shits in the opposition and a midfield to compete with Europes best but we don't really have either of those things. We are 3rd in what's a pretty mediocre league these days as shown when our teams play in Europe. Its premature in mid October to be starting this kind of thread. So far so good but like the Zen master says, "We'll see"

But potato head yes, and I think there are a lot more in RoM who has also. He has become famous our PHC, captain marvel potato head, potato head, LVG's blue eyed captain etc. I won't say all the other names he has been called but you could start a thread with all the swear words and the page would be too long.

I thought Wayne Rooney would be THE solution to our midfield problems (Scholes started life as a strike too) David Moyes was a suitable manager and that we should stick with him and give him time.......imagine if he had signed the players he wanted
