This forum. Scott McTominay. The end. 'Scuse me?? Yeah, Fergie always had a few players like him in the squad and they proved vital more often than not. Very happy he's there to play a role when asked and he does it so well too. Not to mention, he's a bloody good lad. No harm in having people like him at the club. He reminds me of Nicky Butt. Proper, reliable, underratedly talented player with flashier names ahead of him. I doubt he will ever become an automatic starter for us but he should be a solid squad man. You do yourself (and me) a disservice. Always liked the big lad. Make him Captain!!

He has more than earned his place in this team. Last night in particular showed how good he can be. His composure is off the charts.

The word unfazed is used far too flippantly at times, but Scott took that word and made it his own.

Aye, I have no problem holding my hands up, it's a good thing to be proven hilariously wrong about one of your own players. Especially when they're homegrown. I'd love it if every one of our players who is criticised proved us wrong.
I've never criticised his effort and commented often on how much he's improved since stepping up to the first team but from watching him in the reserves and when he did get chances in the first team I never saw a Manchester United player there, maybe a squad player for a year or 2 before being moved on and spending the rest of his career at a low level Prem club, maybe even in the Championship.
He's been outstanding in recent months. To go out there with all the talent on show last night and comfortably be the best player on the pitch is some achievement. So much energy, aggression, calmness in possession, accuracy of passing. Not remotely phased by any of it, no shits given about reputations. Lionel who? May as well have been Ritchie for all he cared.
Keep it going Scotty!

I got proven wrong, I have to admit. I liked him at first when he started playing for the 1st team. After a while I thought he won't be first team material for us, squad player for a season or two was what I expected him to achieve.
But since the Liverpool game he's been outstanding. He's got that aggression in him that most youth players have when they come on. But at the same time he is so calm and composed, the kid just doesn't panic. Loved it last night when he was surrounded by 3 barca players and he calmly just dribbled himself out of there. He was really majestic in midfield last night.

Around 12 months ago he was being mocked for being picked by Jose as his best player at our awards night and that it was done as a token gesture!
I will be fuming if him and Fred don’t start on Saturday!

It's early days but if they can both kick on from last night we have a genuinely good looking midfield pair there. Fred is good at keeping the game ticking and making the sorts of passes that always go unnoticed when your thinking back to who's had a good game or not. McT is calmness personified and is very good with the ball and extracting himself from tight situations. With the addition of a genuinely creative midfielder alongside them (assuming Pogba is off) there's plenty to be optimistic about.

Fred and McTominay split the pitch as the holding CM. Fred better keep working on his touch though. Pogba walks and United will take a step back. As has always been the case with United, the next guy will get a chance and hopefully step up (see Rashford and McTominay).

I always thought Liverpool’s board would continue to throw money around , have a team full of dross and have no plan in place.
Looks like they aren’t us anymore.

All of us, probably , about Pogba.
He's a world class peacock. Will only turn up when it suits his image.
