If you give the man a job you have to trust him to be his own man with his own staff. He shouldn't have got the job if he needed help. It was a feck up of monumental proportions and all the hand washing of responsibility won't disguise that. The reality is Everton is no dress rehearsal for Manchester United. He needed to bed in and he needed help. Nothing wrong with keeping the coaches but implementing his style of play, that's normal but to come in cold and bring in others cold aswell he messed up there is no denying that set the tone for what we saw. If he kept those guys he would have had the council to tell him his way was not working or don't embarrass yourself going for players that won't come in, look at so and so. He got rid of the coaches that the players had worked with for so long and respected. If anything the club overly backed Moyes [ But thats the point. His methods were NEVER going to be successful. Playing a defensive, over reactive style predicated on solid defense and an occasional goal was NEVER going to work at United. Regardless of the players he would have had at his disposal, Moyes would NEVER win. He does not know how to win. Only to compete. And that is not good enough for United.

Moyes believed his own hype by the time he got to united and ultimately that was his downfall. It was a sentimental appointment by Ferguson pure and simple, from one jock to another. There's a reason British managers are not managing the top clubs. Other than Eddie Howe and Rodgers at Celtic, I don't see many British managers doing anything different that Moyes does tactically. British coaches are really outdated and pretty embarrassing these days. They need to get there shit together or there will be none in this league soon. We are still recovering since the Moyes reign, mediocrity is the hardest stain to remove from a club once it gets a grip and to Mourinho's credit he has made significant strides in this department. Players don't get in the team now unless there performing on the pitch and in training.

After complaining about United's traditions he continues to maintain those of Sunderland by losing, being shit and remaining in the relegation zone.

He didn't really though. Typical hysteria. It's probably inappropriate and definitely cringeworthy but it's clearly not serious:
Sunderland apparently issued a statement saying they will take no further action.

If he gets sacked for that then I don't want a single woman anywhere near a football pitch. Ridiculous.

A good reason for Sunderland to cut him loose. Being they are skint, I can see no other reason for persisting with the dour fecker apart from this.
However this relegation has been a long time coming and I will be bitterly disappointed if I don't get to honour their demise with my own version of the Poznan.

I wouldn't personally make that comment to a woman, but I don't really think it's as serious as people are making out. It is proper cringeworthy though.

It's the arrogance of the bloke that he can come out with shit like that and his press buddies will steam in to defend him. Like when he said that Fergie would have struggled with this squad..... Karma is a bitch Dave.......literally!

He's a shitcunt of a Manager, but even the reporter was laughing along with him.
This shit is fucking silly :
A statement released by WIF, a network of professional women working in and around the football industry, read: "We are deeply disappointed and concerned by the threatening language used by Sunderland manager David Moyes towards BBC reporter, Vicki Sparks.
"We are calling on the FA to help educate football managers against this type of behaviour." A WIF spokesperson added: "We are pleased that David Moyes has apologised. No one should be made to feel threatened in the workplace for simply doing their job.
"We hope that the football authorities will work with us to educate football managers and those working within the game to prevent this kind of behaviour."

This actually diminishes real examples of this. Obviously it's open to an individual's interpretation but this doesn't come across as malicious. Silly yes but not nasty. I'm sure there are some horrible sexist managers in the game but this isn't an example of it. To me at least. But I'm a man so who knows?
