Yesterday's game reminded me of our comeback against Blackpool. Largely poor, but we pulled the rabbit out the hat. That's something we've missed sorely. Yesterday's game , I feel , puts the x factor back into the equation against any side. That we can be shit for long period of time but we have the ability to snatch victory from under the nose of defeat. That's huge , in my eyes. Just the knowledge of that , can put a lot of doubt in opposition mindset when they go up against us. It is also proof that the hairdryer works. Jose should get it out more often. Clearly the bollocking at half time worked. So did you watch until the end last night?

Also, Lindelof will come good I feel. He's just come in from Portugal . The way defending works there , under a different manager, to adjust immediately to the premier league is not as easy for some . But once he gets the hang of it , I think he will be solid. think so too, the one that made him look unsure/dodgy last night was the Smalling missed header that everyone presumed he would get, and Lindelof ended up shanking it out for a corner (not really his fault, did well to get something on it, really)

I really think that a Lindelof-Bailly partnership could be amazing in two years time. Not necessarily Rio-Vida levels, but the best in the PL , and certainly the best we'd have had since Rio-Vida.

I think part of the issue with Lindelof is that when you bring in a young CB, especially one who has been playing in a weak league abroad, you really need a solid experienced player alongside him to coach him through games. We don't have that player, or even if we do, that player is not Chris Smalling. Lindelof currently doesn't look capable of dealing with a striker over 5ft10, and since Smalling seemingly has a problem physically dealing with anyone over 4ft10, it's just not the ideal partnership.
It's definitely not time to give up on Lindelof though, and realistically I doubt there's many actual United fans writing him off at this stage. Rightly or wrongly, Lindelof is the type of player that would've played a fair few games at RB this season if Fergie was in charge. He did that with a lot of young CB's, and whilst it wasn't always an exciting attacking prospect, it did give them time to learn and whatnot. Admittedly though, more progressive fullbacks are required much more these days than they were even 5 years ago.

I dont get this Lindelof will come good eventually stuff he looks gash to me, a good player drops in quickly he's had plenty of time to adjust but still looks he's just been born.

Clearly the bollocking at half time worked. Not so fast my friend. The stat line before yesterdays comeback was United trailing at half time 28 times ... from those 28 games 0W 8Draws 20L. It will take more than 1 comeback against a brittle team to turn that sort of thing around.

I really don't think Lindelof was as bad as some thought he was last night. I actually feel more confident seeing him in there with every game he plays. Way too soon to be writing off a young central defender in his first season in England anyway, that's for sure. When I watch Lindelof, I see the defender you hope hes going to become. He isn’t there yet but I think he’ll get there. Also, I watched some of Barca-Ath Madrid on Sunday. Couthino was largely irrelevant and contributed bugger all. It’s probably unrealistic to expect even very gifted players to come in and hit the ground running after January transfers. So perhaps we were expecting too much of Sanchez.

Vidic Pallister Evra Stam They all looked like Sunday League players for the first few months of their Utd careers. They’re 4 of the best defenders the club has ever had.

I do believe Lindelof will turn out good, but I think that will come next year.
he needs to go on the same diet Dave did when he came back 1 summer a monster.
he hasn't been bought to be the brute though hes been bought as a ball playing CB, so I thought, but he just doesn't look that great on the ball ? looks a bit panicky when he doesn't need to be at times.
but definitely that fear factor will be creeping into teams knowing we can come back from behind and win. that will make them retreat further back and play further into our hands.

But the lack of mobility from Sanchez is worrying. No legs. Sanchez with no legs should not be stealing minutes from Rashford, Martial, Lingard, and especially Mata.

True that, but shouldn't make him undroppable, if it's not working? At least temporarily, because he has been very poor

I think Linedlof has the potential. He is probably the best ball player of all of them, but seriously I hope to fuck Jones and Bailly get back soon especially for crunch games later in the CL and FA cup, because he is nowhere near it now
