Hi friends, I was wondering if you all had any tips about bagpacking Europe over the summer? I.E places to see like hidden gems of Europe to restaurants you have to eat at (it’s Important).
I wanted to go this summer to be able experience Europe during the World Cup. I’ll probaby spend 3-4 weeks in Europe and I’m thinking about creating an Itinerary. If you have any tips, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Oh the countries I would like to hit are :
England Scotland France Spain Germany Switzerland Belgium Italy

Most of my friends who have done similar got an interrailing pass. I think it lets you basically get any train in your chosen time frame. It's a bit more expensive than booking it all in advance but its invaluable if you want a bit of flexibility.
I highly recommend Florence. It's the most beautiful city I've been to.

If you hit Germany then go to Bavaria in Southern Germany and do some skiing and then go to a few Bavarian beer festivals or pubs and have a good pint.

Second all these, amazing places to visit. Also second Caaj on Edinburgh had a terrific time there, very friendly backpacking city. Would also throw in Lucerne and Budapest. Good hostels, terrific people. Cannot say enough about Florence. Far and away my favorite city in Italy. A tip, Interrail passes are key, but don’t be afraid to book flights either. I flew from Munich to Edinburgh for €50 and saved myself a day of travel. If you have he extra scratch that is. If not, travel at night on long train rides.

Yes, I heard that flights are super cheap compared to the US. Is there a difference between eurorail vs InterRail?
