Just to add onto this - I think Mourinho needs to start using the "us against everyone else in the world" mind games, and psycho the players into thinking that the world is out trying to pounce on us and we "need to shut them up". Or whatever. I'm a bunch of mixed bag of ideas at this point. I think he's doing exactly that. There is so much lazy polemic journalism out there surrounding the club and Jose personally that everything the manager does or says is used as evidence of an impending meltdown/3rd season syndrome or to support a previously espoused theory of said crisis. If you were naive enough to believe everything Fergie came out with in the press then I can't imagine the ride his tenure must've been for you. Jose is no different. His 3 titles and storm out yesterday was a shot at the press for their constant negative spin. I just wish he would go one step further and start banning them from all press conferences. They need us way more than we need them. There has been a shift in the last week to a circle the wagons approach. We are united, everyone is happy, the manager has more titles than all the other managers combined, clap the fans, hugs and smiles for Shaw etc., is all in the aid of removing this negativity and toxicity that surrounds the club. They'll just write even worse stuff if he bans them, they've gone to town on him today after his little show last night. The pressers are all televised, he doesn't answer any question they ask directly or truthfully anyway. The clicks will come regardless.

ive lost all hope. we look midtable at best.
a 70m+ striker who cant finish his dinner a 70m+ midfielder who doesn't know what he wants to be not 1 decent CB a manager stuck in the previous decade.

He tried to show him to the inside so the tackle would be easier, he got it wrong. It happens. Otherwise, he was the best of an horrendous bunch, defensively. Fortunately, the next 5 are all winnable. Or should be, if some of these knob heads pull their finger out. He committed himself when there was absolutely no need to. That was a 10%/90% tackle. In theory, every game is winnable, we just have a really hard time doing it at the moment. I'm fully expecting a dire draw against Burnley, or 1-0 loss.

Zidane is the only top manager that would be able to come in mid season. I'd rather see it out and appoint in June if there's a strong chance we could get Pochettino or Jardim. I'd go for Zidane right now to be honest because the writing is on the wall.
Jose should go now but I'm resigned to the fact that we won't be sacking him until top four is mathematically impossible.
It's going to be a case of when Jose is sacked.
Going to be the long drawn out goodbye, with any decent results papering over the cracks- but in the main I'm expecting it to be excruciating.
We'll ultimately implode big-time and the regression will be out of control and then wonder why we didn't get shot of Jose earlier.

There is a sense that the team is only starting to take shape now, with Matic, Fred and Herrera starting together for the first time - they formed a well balanced trio and it dominated Spurs for the first half. I look forward to seeing more of that.
Conceded two quick, soft goals and the match was over, especially with the confidence of the side so low.
The clusterfuck in defence is another issue entirely, one that was highlighted by the manager before the window closed.

If we had 2 centrebacks and a striker that wasn't so wasteful I think we'd be fine. Having Matic back is a blessing and Fred looks comfortable in the middle which washes any worries avout the midfield, apart from Pogba being an idle cunt.
Problem is how much more money do you give to Mourinho to solve the issue? He's had over £430m and bought relatively average at best players for the large part of it so I fail to see how people can criticise the board for not giving him more.
You could see in the first half they were finally fighting but came out in the second giving up all hope. The fight is there it just needs a lot of tweaking.
At Everton Lukaku played on the right of a front three quite a bit and it worked. I'd like to see that and see if it works, perhaps with Rashford and Martial as the other front two. He needs to find a balance otherwise this is going to be a long season and I fear if its anything like his last season at Chelsea.

Maybe the lack of a proper pre-season is having its effect. The first half showed at least we're capable of playing direct and attacking football. If we keep up that first half performance in the next 4 games then we should be winning all of them. Burnley, Watford, Wolves and West Ham all winnable games. These 4 games could help get our season back on track. I don't think anyone of us should be giving up on the season just yet.

To be fair he did well in a back three laat night but its not something we need to be seeing more of. He's not a defender so he shouldn't play him there. Stop sending young talent out on loan and use them because the current mob we have are simply not good enough.

We are the second biggest club in the world and the biggest on these shores by some margin. Flex some of that muscle and keep the blood hounds accountable.

Face them and let the football do most of the talking. Not with this egoistical, megalomanic cunt. He is the master spin doctor, he is the one who after Sevilla wouldn't even identify himself with the club (and he's the damn manager on 16 mil a year!!) and distance himself from the team. Mourinho is in no way, mentally, technically, tactically or intelectually capable of managing this club. And probably any club because he's past it.

And quoting best manager of all time who would threat not to let one of those fools next time as a reference to support the idea of banning press altogether is taken directly from Alt-right and Trump playbook. Validate your position by bringing up an example out of context. And including SAF in it. Seriously mate.

God how I miss Fergie! It's not fair seeing these old clips of Fergie. What a fucking legend. In what way shape or form did we (did we?) think Jose was worthy to pick up where he left off? The fact we had Moyes and the Mad King in there too is even more cringeworthy. Well, he didn't pick up where Fergie left off. If he would've been appointed then, I honestly think we'd have one or two more league titles by now.
