Nothing wrong with cheese and chocolate. Cheese is almost always paired with something sweet - pickle, chutney, some other type of preserve or jelly, fruit, honey, etc. And chocolate deserts almost always benefit from a pinch of salt, or are sometimes paired with something slightly salty. Adding a salty cheese is just one step on from that. It makes sense to put them together, and it's tasty as fuck. Cheese and pickle lovely but Cheese and chocolate? Do you like Marmite?

Hi everybody! I have been reading this forum off and on, for over 5 years. I've often thought about joining up but always decided not to. But fuck it, why not? I look forward to engaging with you all from now on! Generally I love what goes on here, and I agree with the majority of what has been said over the years! I do however think it is a little intimidating for new members, especially if your opinions differ from the crowd. Personally I just wouldn't post anything too outrageous until I at least felt more established and comfortable here. (Fellaini to start anyone??! Lol jokes, although he was a beast against Burnley!) Anyways I'm off to introduce myself in the new members section before I get told off!

Normally not a major fan of sweet and savoury mixed but I am open to try most things... ...and I have to admit, Feta with honey and thyme is pretty damn lovely...

Even better... Bacon, jam and peanut butter in a freshly baked loaf. Good enough for Elvis, good enough for me. He died shitting that out. Technically that was the vast quantities rather than the taste though 😀

Never had a chocolate cheesecake, or cannoli, or any variation or chocolate mascarpone/ricotta cake, of which there are many? If you haven't, you're missing out. Fucking love Marmite, but only when it's spread on hot buttered toast. Not too keen on it any other way.

Yeah the trick is to spread it quite thinly or it's like chewing a bovril cube. I've never had it on buttered toast though.

It's magic this place. Only on RoM could a heated argument about the forum's inevitable demise turn into a conversation about putting Marmite in your fucking gravy.
Anyway, them Marmite crisps Walkers did about 10 year ago were actually alright.

When was the last time any of you spoke to Scott outside of the re-design, or promoting something to buy? 12 years ago I think
