Obviously pleased it’s getting better, and particularly that Martial is getting to prove his worth. However, there’s a long way to go before we are the real thing again. It was Bournemouth people, and we struggled to beat them. First PL defeat at home since we last beat them in April. Had we not beaten them there would have been cries of we should be beating them. Remember City just beating them by the same scoreline last season into 7 minutes of injury time?

For balance though- Sanchez played well yesterday.

We are desperate for a proper RB hopefully we can get 1 in Jan along with a CB, if we want to get in this top four they need to be a priority

Matic needs a rest. But I’d rather him on crutches than McTominay. Whisper it quietly, but we need fellaini back. Then an all out assault on signing Ndombele. On a positive. We’re so close to being a mint side, I can taste the hole in Polos.

Love seeing stuff like that. Gives me some sort of hope for the future of the club.

Hopefully we'll see a prolonged spell in the team for Sanchez up top now - miles better than Lukaku in pretty much every department bar the physical side of things.

Its not all down to Lukaku though. The service he's been getting (or lack of) has been just as bad. Can't expect a striker to score goals if he doesn't get the ball.
That being said his finishing has also been a problem which is on him. Still think he's more than good enough to turn it around. Maybe a stretch out of the spotlight will do him the world of good. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed. I would have agreed with you last year, but Jeepers he has missed some sitters in pretty much every game. It's now weird.

Fingers crossed. For sure, with better service Lukaku would've scored more by now. But like you said, he's missed so many good chances since he joined us (and so many of them were in absolute crucial moments) that I quite simply don't trust him. A lethal striker is often times the difference between winning the league and finishing 2nd, I don't think Lukaku is the kind of striker who could win us a league.
