Those things have nothing to do with their character on the pitch though. In a sporting context, you can't question the character of Ryan Giggs etc. Players that never hid. The players now are fucking cowards, the vast majority of them want nowt to do with it when it gets tough. In terms of interests outside of football, there's not much difference between Pogba and say, David Beckham, but there's a world of difference between the two in a footballing context. No what you are saying is as long as the player performs on the pitch we can ignore the off the field stuff? Until they turn to shit when it becomes a stick to beat them with? We have attracted too many bad apples because we are throwing money at everyone. Then the shit ones keep getting rewarded because Eddy keeps thinking back to Zaha, realised he fucked up and for some strange reason is scared to make the same mistake again, as well as it being cheaper to renew than sign another. Yeah but it's all about character really. Literally not what I said at all.

Are the owners goons? YES Is Ed the man to deal with footballing and on the pitch affairs? HELL NO Is Mourinho absolved of blame for the debacle of this seaseaon? HELL NO. He is 80% the problem, simply because he picks the team, trains them etc and his negativity all round since the summer definitely had an affect on these players When Jose eventually leaves and succeeds elsewhere then everyone will realize that the owners are 100% of the problem. Unlike our previous two managers, Jose isn’t afraid to point at the real issues and where the club’s priorities are. The commercial culture at the club will always undermine any manager here because the players will feel their bigger than the manager and the club itself. are we saying the owners train the players? do the team talk? set the formation? once again there are more than enough good players for us to be 4th. the only leeway Jose gets from that 80% would be passing some to the players who really have to take responsibility. This was the same in real and Chelsea, the only heavyweight team where he has not had tools downed are inter

We’re only blaming Jose because it’s easy but the cold hard reality is that this club failed one of best managers of the last two decades.

Missed Pogba coming on on Wednesday so wasn't aware of the booing for him. Not surprised though. Decent read though and pretty much spot on. Drip drip drip.

Supporters like me, stop think, analyse and give a fair review of what is there. No one person is to blame, everyone has played their part but Jose when it comes to motivating, training and setting up a team is 100% liable. of all 3 parties he is the one that would have had to adapt, do I think the players would have walked through walls for him? yes. if he concentrated on creating a siege mentality against the board rather than fight his own players we would be a lot further up the table than we are.

Drip drip drip. me neither, however if the fans turn on him then he is well and truly on his way out, it wont be pretty. For me even if Jose goes Pogba should be sold, too image conscious, too talented for the lazy work that he delivers, too petty as I believe he plays like he does sometimes to spite Jose, he left a teenager and has comeback a child rather than the adult we needed.

Wilson can get a bit too haughty and detached from the actual game in his Guardian articles, but when he's at his best there's very few pundits on his level. Inverting the Pyramid is the best book on football bar none.

Great read.
Said on here a couple of days ago, there should be a mutiny starting within the stands at Old Trafford.
Added to this our away support is the best in the league but the problem is that they're fiercely loyal, they keep singing regardless of performances, they really should turn but can't see it.
But at home it definitely should be kicking off, with Ed looking on.

"the lack of urgency in the boardroom adding credence to rumours of a possible takeover" How I wish that was the case. As it is, we know it is due to money.

That's all gone when the FC United thing happened. The initial hostility was fierce, but it's all twitter now! Woodward and particularly Arnold are of that school of thought that all publicity is good and the drama is clicks. Miguel Delaney has an article after last nights game mentioning the same thing. He's saying the fans are still backing him and amazingly enthralled because of the narrative he spins He is the immediate problem, but Woodward is the ongoing problem. If this was Real, Barca, Bayern, the clubs we should be on a par with. Their fans would be threatening to burn the place down
