Now all the festive shite has vanished my plan is to do the same, cut out a lot of the shit and eat cleaner. Biggest issue is the bad carbs, the problem with that is I love my pasta, rice and potatoes which makes it difficult. Bread and alcohol can easily be cut out as alot of it is down to convenience as I do shift work or don't go out that much.
The exercise bit will be gradually added as my back is stalling that atm, the added weight doesn't help either so atm its counteracting itself which is pissing me off.
My biggest issue has always been the nutrition side. I can eat chicken, eggs, veg or fish but its controlling the portions or maijg a full meal from it all to the point I don't get fed up eating the same shit day in day out.

Swap potatoes to sweet potato and rice to brown rice. Either that, or use portion control, as I mapped out on the previous page. I'm by no means an expert but I've gone from 23 stone to 15 stone in 6 years, so I can help where needed.

It's the sugar and processed shit that does the most damage.
Sugar especially!

Try black rice. A good Asian market will sell it, or Amazon. It's good for your heart, and is a natural detox.

Expert or not you've clearly done the work and its paid off so fair play to ya. Aye I swapped to brown rice and just added a sauce or scrambled to mask out the bland taste to it which worked. Was doing well before Christmas but it all went to shit from there

Doing so bad with my diet at the minute, not that I follow a specific, strict diet, just general healthy eating with everything in moderation type diet.. but I'm just eating so much shit. Mainly because I cba cooking due to long working hours of which I'm doing some quite physical work.
Keep telling myself it's just me replenishing my energy after work but that's just a piss poor excuse. Need to sort myself out....after I've had an Indian tonight!

Apart from the Indian part I can pretty much repeat this myself. No go in me to do anything atm, sucks.

Meal prep and stick it in the fridge. 4 days worth of food done in an hour I was about to reply with this. Cook a tonne of chicken or mince (or any meat really) to last a few days. Compliment it with veg and rice/mash. Make sure it's food that you enjoy though otherwise you'll never stick with it. I smash gravy and/or cheese on everything at work or at home but it's still healthy eating because its good food but I enjoy eating it. And also do a lot of work alongside it. Just be prepared, it's hard to eat healthy if you're constantly relying on food that someone else has cooked

The difference between white rice and brown rice is about 30kcal a portion and it tastes shite. Hardly worth the bother.

And I prefer brown rice, tbh:

8 chicken breasts in an over bowl with a shit loads of seasoning. Cajon, peri peri, salt n pepper, American BBQ, etc etc .. change it up each batch so you don’t get bored
A full broccoli and loads of green beans in a pan. Boil. Strain.
Tub up a breast and veg and store for each day.
Grate a little bit cheese on before warming up for some food fats

Anyone who is actually after losing weight then ignore this.

Tbf white rice isn’t bad. If you have it after intermittent fasting to spike your insulin with some good protein you take a lot of the protein in. You’ll burn off the carbs in no time and you can have a second meal to then plateau out your insulin spike
