We missed Lingards energy last night the team was far to slow and pedestrian, its been mentioned but we only have a good 11 and a few other players But are squad it's self is piss poor, especially for the money and the name of the players on the bench

Jesus! we drew and are 9 games unbeaten after getting rid of the miserable one. Wouldn't know it today. #ole out #poch in I think people are annoyed about the dropped points but even more so about the shite perfromences from some. Of the players last night especially the ones who come in

Just on Pereira. A lot of the better stuff he did out on loan in Spain was out wide, particularly on the right from the games I saw. Might be worth sticking him on one of the flanks next time we're without Martial and/or Lingard. I'd rather see that than Lukaku or Sanchez stinking the place out again anyway. Whenever I watched him (and I remember talking to you during those times) he was either wide or very advanced, CAM, almost a second striker. Not sure where this idea of him being some sort of deep playmaker has come from. Think he played CAM more at Granada. More often than not when I saw him at Valencia he was out wide. Either way I think it's clear he has to be used as an attacking player.
I think he conned people into thinking he can do a proper job defensively because of how much he got stuck in and grafted at Granada but that's because he had to.
He's never in any way looked a deep lying midfielder. His main attributes are his dribbling and a usually wonderful right foot.

im not writing Pereira off, but for him to succeed here, he has to massively improve. players need to jump on their chance to impress.
give Dalot for example, might not have played extraordinary, he does thing where you think.. ok give this lad time and hes going to succeed. he doesn't lose the ball that much either and he has great ability.
what im seeing of Pereira recently, just.. isn't much. losing the ball sloppily and not playing the right balls. he needs to up it.

It is still 100% irrelevant how they are spelled. Shit, maybe we should just refer to players based upon shirt numbers then so you can get off that high horse. I've also noticed a senior member of the board with a spelling mistake within the last 2 pages, I don't see you making the comment to them. Haven't noticed it - who was it? Happy to correct them as well. I find it distracting when we're talking about players but don't get their names right. If it's little-known youngsters or transfer targets it's understandable. When it's players who have been about for ages it seems, I dunno, disengaged or something. It is more about that Karma misspelled Pereira a few times and may have it wrong. The McTominay thing was simply because my surname is a Mc- and it annoys me when people put the gap in. I'm not meaning to be ratty about it. Personally if I am spelling something incorrectly I prefer someone corrects me. For the life of me I still can never remember how to spell Kus zczak without looking it up. (It's that first 'z'. Always gets me.) That one's easy. SZ for the English SH sound and CZ for the hard CH sound. Polish is quite forgiving in that regard, despite being a ballache of a language to learn.

Spot on, he has always been better wide. He can play well on the right and left but the pressing need is the right.

It’s unfortunate we dropped points yesterday, opportunity missed but to salvage something helps and 1 point is better than non. Leicester won’t be easy so hope martial is fit and hope everyone is fully firing.

Lingard was a late bloomer, came into his own at 23/24. No reason to be jumping to conclusions so quickly on Pereira either when he hasn’t been given a chance here. We shouldn’t be the type of fickle club that jumps to conclusions too quickly on young players.

Well the board and spending remains relevant under every manager. If they want to support them they won’t expect them to make do in January when it’s obvious this squad isn’t good enough. We can argue all we want but we saw that last night when the starting 11 was changed! As for Ole, they should have fired Jose in the summer, a caretaker shouldn’t have happened in the first place! I hope he does well, just because I don’t write sentimental crap on here about it doesn’t mean I don’t! As for my opinions being against the traditions and values of the club well that’s the biggest load of bollocks I’ve read on here and that takes some beating. That’s up there with support your local team and you’re not from Manchester kind of crap. I was born a mile from Newton Heath if we want to go down that silly road! So your opinions are completely in tow with the values and traditions of the club because you were born holmnear Newton Heath?
Thanks for clearing that up. It's not like we have fans and members of this forum who are knowledgeable about the club and hold it's values dear that aren't from the Manchester area, is it?
No I’m saying that where a fan comes from is about as relevant as some of the nonsense you said about going against the history and traditions of the club. I had a choice as a kid to support City or United. My uncle who was a longstanding season ticket holder at the time basically said City were shit and bitter. I certainly don’t remember him going all nostalgic about youth players or the Busby babes. Everyone picks their clubs for different reasons. History and nostalgia wasn’t mine. Brian Robson was the clincher!

I dont know if Pereira is in the same boat but hopefully he can figure it out.

Lookaku needs to start from the bench, we seem to be slower when he starts, Perierira hasn't done himself any favours but cant put too much blame on the lad, we had our own chances to put the game to bed well before the mistake. Thought we played much better when Lindgard came on. Lindlov picked a good time to score his first for us as well. Frustrating game on the whole but managed to pull it back in typical fashion. I don't know why, but this just cracked me up. Might have something to do with the exchanges here about spelling players' names right.
