lovely game yesterday, had to watch the replay due to classes. Seems Ole had the men playing with a deathly quick counter and is maximising the natural talents he has within the group. especially glad to see that Greenwood got some minutes and that James scored on debut. the celebrations looked like team moral is high, they were constantly in a group and motivational talks being given by McT. good day all round. the cherry on top im hoping was that Ed still got some grief. good game or bad, HE needs to have an awful time when attending games. Thank fuck Ed managed to pull off team togetherness on deadline day

Maybe it’s already been mentioned but we are now half way to our total clean sheets of 2 we had at home late year. Yes we had some luck but we have potential and players capable of putting out more assured defensive performances.

went to visit some mates in austria last week. got back last night, way too late for the game unfortunately as we got stuck in traffic for hours and hours crossing the mountains. so i tried to not look up the score and wanted to watch the full game as soon as i got home, just to find out that i wasnt able to watch the full game...couldnt wait any longer, went on youtube and was shocked...what a great fucking start to the season, wasnt expecting that at all. i could watch that third goal over and over.

just started watching the full game. obviously i know the result and seen the highlights but already its such a nice feeling to see lindelöf and maguire at the back when in possession. 2 players who look comfortable on the ball and not like panicking whenever they get pressed by the opposition. and with wan bissaka already becoming a fan favourite thats a huge positive to see that back 4 calm, assured and only to get better with more games together.

You could see our back 4 was far more settled with AWB and Maguire there. Also noticed Dave seemed more comfortable knowing it looks like he has a solid defense there for once.
Obviously very early days but things look a lot brighter in that back line.

Sorry if this has been mentioned but did anyone else hear us being introduced on MOTD2 as 'big spending Man United'.
Seriously?

guys, I am not sure if it is a valid argument, but there are some serious negative points about our gameplay: 1- whenever Pogba received the ball in our third half there was no half back close to him, and it forced him to dribble or do long/risk pass which led to lost in possession. Also there was huge gap between DFM and next line , some 30 to 40 yards. He needs some holding player such as Matic close to him when he has the ball so he can create an attacking phase or change DF phase to ATT phase. Due to this issue, If Chelsea could have simply press up field and use their chances we could have serious problem. 2- Both Rashford and Martial received most of the passes when they were wide left, and they were unsuccessful in link-up play, plus Rashford and Lingard were not good at playing false nine or even number 10. The only times when Rashford and Martial play as striker, we could have scored. We are still in need of to have striker, either by having Rashford or Martial as striker (not wide left) or having perfect number 9 (Lingard was not even close). This problem can hurt us when we play against team who are defending deep.
Hope these issue being taken care of by the end of international break, unless it will hurt us.

We'll definitely be in Top 4, Bissaka and Maguire as if always playing for us) Chelsea only really had a few chances. Our new velvet four

Our new velvet four YouTube - type compilations can be deceiving, but I can’t help but get excited by that. Rather more solid looking than when either of the chuckle bros are in the mix! Long may it continue!

Chelsea had loads of chances. They should have been two or three up in the first half. Come on.
Also I love Maguire and he's worth every overpaid penny if it means he and Lindelof are the first choice with Axel as first backup.

Granted, I only saw the highlights but IMO, we were very lucky in the first half...
They could / should have had at least 2 goals and if that first one fromAbrahams had gone in, it would likely have changed the complexion of the game...
Having said that, we took our chances well and looked devastating on the counter attack...shades of the days of Kanchelskis...
I am hoping that Pereira and McT can step it up a little and Pogba gets more involved without doing the silly tricks where he loses the ball...
If we can improve the midfield, we could have a very decent season...

I think the 2nd half is more reflective of how we will play. 1st half we seemed nervous and lacked urgency.
