Because if given the choice between defending a club legend, our board or a collection of players who down tools at the first sign of adversity, I’ll defend Ole. Because the managerial position is the least of our worries and the least culpable for our inability to consistently produce results that lead to trophies. The more attention given to the manager is less attention given to Ed/Joel Glazer and the squad they have cobbled together and refuse to strengthen until they hire a new manager after we drop out of the top 4. And that’s not just Ole, that’s any manager we hire. Because people hoping Ole fails just so Ed/the players can knife him in the back and replace him with the next victim disgusts me. Because if you replace Ole with any manager you want in world football, we will be in this same position in 2 seasons. Because he is remaking the squad as quickly as coherently as his puppet masters will allow, and progress is being made. Because not every little thing that goes wrong is his fault. Great speech, but what happened yesterday was 100% his fault. Doubt the Glazers called him and told him to keep Fred on. Bit harsh to say 100%. A lot of it was because we all know he should have taken Fred off. However Ole didn't make Bruno pass to Cavani instead of shoot or make Martial miss from 6 yards out in virtually an open goal. We have a terrible issue of not taking our chances and it cost us. As bad as the decision not to take Fred off was it wasnt the defining factor in the game. We wasted far too many chances, that isn't on Ole.

I might listen to the argument if Fred got sent off, the game changed and then PSG scored, but we were well on top, they scored against the run of play and then he goes. We were already losing at that point.
