To be honest given the amount of shit the lad has had lately off the pitch especially the last two games I think its safe to say he deserves a bit of slack. Still a young lad so can't imagine it helping him at all. Of course he does, and I'd be ecstatic if he ended up being first-choice here, but so far he hardly played consistently enough to warrant that status in a title-winning side.

In over two years he has been unable to get any real consistency from the team or impose a style of player, that suits the players he has. He has spent cira £160mill on the defence in that time & despite what he says, we are not defending well,we are defensively worse than when he came in. We might be 2nd & closer from a points perspective to the top, than when he came came in but as team we are still miles off the what is needed to be serious title challengers, how many more years does he think he needs is question I'd love to hear him answer honestly??? Yes, we are second. Five points clear of last season's champions and five below a state-sponsored club at the top. That means we are more consistent than any other club in the division bar that plastic mutation of a football club. We may collapse between now and the end of the season, which I'm sure many would enjoy, but it's total madness to suggest sacking the manager under the current circumstances. And then, some people here wanted us to lose league games so the manager would get the sack...
We are nowhere near being serious title challengers.

We are nowhere near being serious title challengers. I actually agree here. However, Ole has done considerably better in this respect compared with our ever-so-successful previous two managers.

Maybe we're such a young team we need a few more Cavani's . Players that are serial winners or have been in the trenches for years. Even when we had the kids in under fergie we had Robson, Keane, Cantona, Bruce, palister players that can lead and dig out results when they are needed. Players you would want in your corner when it kicks off. I would argue we ain't got many of those types of players at the moment and maybe that's the issue.

Find out whoever Simeone is scouting for the position and nab him.

We did actually win some trophies under them... ...however, I hated the style of football that we played...I do prefer to watch us play these days...but we are bloody frustrating when a team sits back against us...

I love seeing Bruno and Cavani putting their arm around Greenwood, Rashford et al. and leading from the front, whether it's with the press, with movement off the ball (esp. in Cavani's case) and with simply having the balls to try things, like Bruno with his goal the other day, despite having been below his best in the few games before Southampton. Imagine having that kind of leadership at the back. The top of our spine is looking strong. The bottom is jelly.

We’re not the finished article just yet. Recruitment is painfully slow, but patience would pay off. I wouldn’t swap what we’re seeing for a league cup

Its so fuckin slow this rebuild that we've been in for 7 bastard years we're constantly playing catch without ever getting there. This summer will be no different. When do think we will be the finished article then?

Are you sure sacking the manager is the recipe for success. Because we’ve done that three times already during them seven bastard years.

I was just wondering how may more windows you think it will take for our patience to pay off? like you say its been painfully slow, nothing suggests to me we'll get there while we piss about in the transfer market where others will be ruthless and just keep pulling away from us, as said before we're forever playing catch up

He’d love to have the money Pep shops with. He has been doing well with what he has. I have no reason to believe other managers would have done any better under the circumstances.

I didnt say it was all on ole, was just trying gauge how and why you can be so optimistic. Its also debatable that ole has done well in the transfer market. One thing I do know is, we can't keep buying players hoping they reach their potential, thats in part what is holding us back. we need finished articles now, proper technically good players with football brains. Let's see who he brings in next.....

He's spent almost 300M in two years. Other clubs have a lot of money too, but he's hardly scrounging around in the bargain bin looking for buy one get one free offers. You say you don't believe any other manager could do better? Klopp signed Robertson, VVD, Thiago, Fabinho, Salah, Mane, and Allison for less than that. Ole spent it on Maguire, DVB (who he refuses to play) and Dan James.

It seems that if Ole buys a good player then all well and good as in Bruno...
but if he`s bought a player and he`s crap for example Maguire or inherits a bad one for example Lindelof he doesent have the coaching knowhow to improve them, and that goes for the whole coaching staff they are clueless.
