Jose doesn’t help himself or cause. Will br interesting what levy and Joe Lewis do in the summer if they don’t finish top 4 more especially if Harry tells them he wants out.

They won't finish top 4 and he's a goner. Harry Kane definitely will want to leave as well as he should. Tottenham achieved their maximum when they got to the Champions League final. They've got the new stadium debt now and they won't spend anything in the transfer windows. Kane needs to get the hell out of there if he doesn't want to waste his career. We need to be at the forefront of any and all suitors for him. I couldn't care less about Haaland I'd go full throttle to pry Kane away from Spurs.

I suspect Levy telling any premier league suitor he will want £150 million or more in one payment will prove to deter suitors. With Haaland he is 20 so whilst a gamble the age makes it darn attractive. If we didn’t have Mason and didn’t need an rw, cm, rb and cb then I’d say go get him. We just need too much to spend the budget and some on one player albeit one I think gives us a chance to win the league

Kane would be a great signing but Haalands age and goal return already makes him my preferred choice.

Kane for me fits the type of football Ole wants to play and also offers the perfect mentorship for Greenwood and Amad. I'd love Haaland. But the problem will always be there with his agent. There would never be any stability and it'd always be a media circus. I want this club to operate with full focus and togetherness and Haaland and his agent to me will never give us that. Not to mention Haaland's father too who seems to have gotten in on the act.

It would all depend on Kane himself - how much he'd be willing to rock the boat to get his way. He's 27 and not getting younger. He's reached his prime and the next 5 years for him should be trophy winning years. Crazy as it sounds, we have a better chance of doing that. We will not get a new CB, we seem to have made our bed with the pairing we have now for better or worse. Amad should be trusted on the RW seeing as we paid a lot of money to bring him here. CM we have Pogba , Donny, Fred and McT and I don't see the manager or our overlords looking at it as something that needs investing it. What we do need is a marquee striker. For me Kane fits the bill better than Haaland for the reasons I mentioned in my other post above. I hope Lingard continues to score more goals. It's helping his valuation. De Gea also will be sold, so there's bound to be some money there. What would Martial fetch? At least a snickers bar?

Jose heading for another sacking and hefty payout, to be fair though he`s probably done as well as he could there with that squad its a tough gig.

In regards to midfield genuinely don't see Pogba staying, his situation is one where you know the girl is all wrong for you but you just can't let her go, no matter how much she first and cheats, you still don't do away with her and move on. It's simple, we pay him and Mino more for him to stay or we let him go. Another issue is getting a formation where he plays to his strengths and so does Rashford who is constantly played out of place on the right to accommodate pogba. I think a CB will definitely happen more pressing if Bailly doesn't renew his contract

In this regard he is a master of his craft - Build your reputation and move about clubs slowly getting sacked after a season each time to get a massive payout. Dude must be rolling in 100million quids worth of 'sacking money'

It was great to see the determination to win after getting thumped at OT plus Sons cheating and the officials incompetence, that attitude to win must be the way in every single game going forward, Ole has finally shown some ruthlessness in benching De Gea now he must act on Lindelof if we are going to be a great side again.

I think it’s two fold with José. Part of it is that he blatantly doesn’t enjoy management anymore. He’s looked like he absolutely hates football for years now (know the feeling). And maybe as a result of that, the aura surrounding him has gone. He doesn’t have the same influence over his players anymore as he doesn’t appear unbeatable.
Just finished reading through the whole thread, feel like most of my points have been raised already. The only thing I’d say regarding the disallowed goal is that we need to pressurise the referees more. We’ve had nothing since Klopp flapped his gums. If it’s sound for Son to be rolling about on the floor and that, then it’s sound for us to absolutely blag the ref’s head as much as possible and pressurise him into not overturning the goal. Not a big fan of “Roy Keane would’ve done x, y or z” but Roy would’ve bullied that chinless prefect ref into giving the goal yesterday, no doubt.

If money were no object I'd love Haaland or Kane. And either would be a RVP type signing that would give us a great chance of winning the league even if we leave the other problem areas in our squad unaddressed.
But both would involve prolonged transfer sagas with a very high chance of ending up empty handed. And even if it happened it would absorb our entire budget and probably restrict spending in future transfer windows. It would also probably require us to sell Pogba without signing a replacement which I think would weaken us considerably. And I think even someone as good as Haaland or Kane would probably be frustrated by the lack of service so we wouldn't get the best out of them.
Especially with it being the Euros I'd much rather we get our business done early in the summer and go for more realistic targets. While a marquee signing would be nice, I think that three quality additions would make us a lot more balanced, increase our tactical flexibility, and also allow for more squad rotation which are all areas where we need to improve if we want to challenge on multiple fronts next season.
A CB for me is a higher priority than a striker. Only reason Ole sticks with Lindelof is because he doesn't trust Bailly to stay fit and perhaps sees some value to having continuity in terms of a stable pairing. We are conceding on average a goal a game and that is too high especially as it is achieved with two holding midfielders. And having stupidly spent £80M on Maguire we need to play someone alongside him who complements him better. And this is an easy position to upgrade. We have several good options so shouldn't be too hard to find someone happy to join us and available at a reasonable price.
And I think with a quality specialist DM we would have a bit more tactical flexibility and be able to play Pogba or McT as box to box midfielders against weaker teams and save Fred as a Park/Fletcher type player to do a job for us in big games.
And finally I think we need a proper right winger. Amad is very raw and needs to be eased into the team. Dan James isn't good enough. And while Greenwood can do a job for us it is not his natural position and I'd love us to develop him into a world class number 9. We don't need to spend our entire budget on Sancho. But someone like Neto or Raphinha or Dembele would be a good addition and give the team better balance.

Jose heading for another sacking and hefty payout, to be fair though he`s probably done as well as he could there with that squad its a tough gig. What, by making them worse? They have always been flaky for as long as I can remember , but they’ve definitely gone backwards under José The Spur’s stats that Sky showed after the game in terms of their play before, and after the first goal were indicative of their cautious approach after they took the lead.

Stats dont tell whole story, United pressed really well second half and wouldn't let them play and is why its interpreted as cautious, Jose hasn't been amazing at spurs but who would? Guardiola would struggle with that squad.
