Conte. Zidane Allegri. All of these guys are proven winners at the highest level. All of them are currently available. None of whom will be our manager. we will o what we did with Poch and allow them to go elsewhere. Of all of them the man that comes in and mops up extra fast is Conte, not to mention he will ruffle some feathers in that board. He always wants to win, doesn't rest on his laurels, as long as he is told we don't want 40 years filling up space then i am good with him

Yesterday they showed extensive highlights of the Sevilla semi final. I hadn’t watched it back obviously so it was interesting. We actually played some very good stuff and were really unlucky. Their keeper was sensational as was Kounde. And our young strikers missed some great chances. You looked at that and thought ‘there’s a good side there, needs some top drawer upgrades and it could really do some damage.’ And then crickets, a few squad players. As ordinary as Ole is as a manager (and he truly is), he was truly failed by Woodward last summer. We got lucky in the league with the other teams implosions but the chickens came home to roost last night.

how so? I didn't pay much attention to why Maguire didn't start and it wasn't exactly mentioned in the live-broadcast I watched. It was literally one of the biggest stories in the lead up to the game. Virtually impossible to miss. Considering the 24/7 news reporting in this day and age, there lot of things that are easy to miss whether its intended or not, and more things exist in this world than football. Also injury reports of players are not always truthful so I have stopped paying attention to them long time go. How many times have we seen player being reported out for long time only for said player to turn up in next match or the other way around player said that he can play next match only for him to not play any matches for week, months even year? Why to many if you ask me.

Bruno ran himself into the ground to be fair. Just had no space and Emery obviously doing a job on him. Bruno will escape my wrath as he has been amazing since he came in and clearly works to a different level from everyone else. He is a leader without a doubt I'm going to come off harsh and a dick head for saying it, but Bruno crying because we lost a second rate European competition is a weak mentality. Champions league final is maybe understandable, but not this. Maybe I'm reaching, but we really do need more experience for times like this. Someone who has been there and done it.

The decision to take off Mason was also ridiculous. Along with Scott and AWB, he was performing admirably. Agreed, taking off greenwood and keeping Rashford on was crazy. He moved a player from his best position on the left over to a position he normally fails to deliver from, instead of admitting that hes had a bad game and subbing him would be best for the team, he missed an open goal ffs. Its cowardice and infact the substitution gave Villareal a foot hold back in the game because Mason had the beating of there left back. The Fred sub was equally as stupid because Pogba and McTominay were comfortable in there, why not bring Telles, Amad or Mata on for Rashford and give them a different problem instead of no problem? To be fair to Ole, his options in midfield are poor but midfield wasnt the problem, it was a lack of quality in those wide areas.

It’s just impossible unless you literally only tune into a game 2 minutes before it starts.

Couldn’t disagree more with the comments about Bruno. He’s one of the few who isn’t mentally weak. He’s also one of the few who you can rely on to actually raise his game next year to do something about it. Ronaldo cried after losing an FA Cup shoot out too btw. He’s the most mentally strong player most of us have ever seen.

He’s just a passionate bloke isn’t he, someone who cares. Think they get a lot of stick when people think they aren’t arsed, so if anything it’s good to see someone who is bothered. And in a way, it’s a relief to see he hadn’t gone into the game thinking it was a second rate trophy that he wasn’t chewed about winning.

I love his passion and i'm absolutely not questioning that, but be angry, not sad. Maybe it's my inner Roy Keane coming out!
