We've just gone back into a fucking lockdown over here. So obviously I went out last night before it started. So I'm hungover, locked down, and don't even have the consolation of a trophy to keep me happy. Thanks Ole. where abouts are you? Melbourne. 1st day of a 7 day snap lockdown.

I mean, technically we didn’t lose... looking at his face he's honestly just happy to be here...i just dont see how we get the 20 extra points we need next season to be in the mix(not win the title) with him in charge. how long has he been here? he's longest serving manager post-Fergie right? fuck all to show for it with a better squad. we've seen some of our worst football in recent years but that has been some what placated by trophies at the end. what's he doing to keep our mouths shut?

He’s a yes man to keep the fans quiet. A man who was once against the takeover now one of their biggest enablers. I hope they all crash and burn next season and decent players fuck off elsewhere. The only way we’ll rid ourselves of this disease.

I’ve defended Rashford on here plenty of times (along with many others) but I’m not going to even try to defend his performance on Wednesday. However I do think the lad is showing serious signs of burnout. The niggling, lingering injuries, the tailing off towards the end of seasons, the international tournaments meaning practically no rest since he became a first teamer, all have contributed to him looking wrecked. We also have a situation where the drop off in quality is so sharp that he’s had to be played far more than he should be. I think we need to be very careful with him and if he does need an operation then the forced rest afterwards might be no harm.

I’ve just calmed down sufficiently enough to watch the post-match stuff from the other night, obviously fast-forwarding the award ceremony until the interviews. I cannot, for the life of me take that limp excuse “they didn’t turn up, that’s football at times.” In a final? NO IT FUCKING ISN’T! Unbelievable.

Yeah I think you are right. At the tail end of this season and the final especially he's looked a shadow of his former self. He looks petulant, frustrated, impatient and impulsive and his decision making has suffered greatly as a result.

He briefly mentioned on a thing he did for BT with Rio and Rooney what a difficult season it’s been for him with injuries. I suppose the stats he’s managed despite that are impressive. After the Euros he needs to have whatever injuries he’s got fixed and we’ll have to do without him for a while at the start of the season. It’s the best thing in the long run. If miraculously we do sign Sancho, we should have enough up top to cover for him.

I think Rashford needs to take a leaf out of Cavani's book. Cavani's done a great job recovering from his injury problems by knowing his body and refusing to play when he wasn't feeling right even if it annoyed the coaches. Obviously it's to be commended that Rashford has played through pain and tiredness. But if he wants to have a long and productive career he needs to take the time to heal.

I’m still seething about this result. I’m not actually sure when I’ll stop seething about it. chill stew all will be ok next season when phil Jones is fully fit and jlingz returns after having re found himself as a player. Along with Tom Heaton that’s a decent summer window I think
