Thanks for the FA Cup Erik. One of my favourite post-Fergie United moments. Had to go though.

It's a real shame. It really is. I think that most if not all of us had high hopes for him and the players haven't helped, but it's had to happen. I still think that he's a good manager, but there are jobs that are just too big. The place is a massive pressure cooker and you need the steel to be able to handle it.
Thanks for the 2 trophies Erik.

Had to happen really. As Chris said, sad really as we all had high hopes when he came in but it was a really poor fit.
It better not be Southgate…

Current odds on SkyBet for next permanent manager (pays out after 10 games, hence why Ruud is top):
Ruud - 1/2 Ruben Amorim (Sporting Lisbon) - 7/2 Thomas Frank (Brentford) - 5/1 Gareth Southgate (unemployed) - 7/1 Michael Carrick (Middlesborough) - 7/1 Graham Potter (unemployed) - 7/1 Xavi (unemployed, possibly influenced by his wife posting a picture of their kid in a United shirt yesterday) - 9/1 Kieran McKenna (Ipswich) - 12/1 Edin Terzic (unemployed, took Dortmund to CL final then resigned) - 14/1
It’s an uninspiring list…

Rejoice! No sympathy from me at all. £12.5 million to exit, £600 million spent. The man was backed galore and we are in relegation form.

Can't have Ruud full time.

Sad end really. There was a solid 4 month period in his first season when we looked like we might challenge for the league, beat Barcelona and won a trophy, and it felt, in the ground at least, that we'd finally turned the corner. Then the wheels fell off and never quite got put back on.

That would be the smart money. Amorim will cost them. Xavi comes in and has immediate respect. They have a big decision to make, they shouldn't rush it. Ruud over to you

The "Trust the process" era is over.
Thank you for the 2 trophies and the positive memories Erik. You stood on your vision to the end, and I can respect that.
