Had to happen really. As Chris said, sad really as we all had high hopes when he came in but it was a really poor fit. It better not be Southgate… Pretty certain it won't be + he did rule himself out of it the other week when he said he'll be having a year off or something along those lines. He's won the two trophies but them aside, we've largely been dreadful for most of his tenure so this is fully deserved. The fact that he hasn't been able to implement a consistent style of play in the amount of time he's had is damning.

Rejoice! No sympathy from me at all. £12.5 million to exit, £600 million spent. The man was backed galore and we are in relegation form. Ditto He was not fit for the job and that's about it.

To be fair to ETH no manager has managed to implement an effective style post-fergie.

I can't see it being Xavi. What has he done exactly to even be in with a shout?

I’d say Amad in particular is delighted. There won’t be a manager in world football that plays that clown Antony over him.

I don’t know much about Amorim (which instantly puts him ahead of most of the names on the list). Anyone got any insight? All I have so far is a Spurs fan who felt he was “a bit defensive” when they went for Ange over him.

I can't see it being Xavi. What has he done exactly to even be in with a shout? I was just whispering to someone in the office that Flick is showing what experience can do. He has the same team that Xavi has. But in fairness to Xavi, he won in his first season. Brought through youth. I genuinely think the fact the players knew of his greatness as a player they worked for him that first season. I don't know why the team was so inconsistent in the 2nd season. Barca is a beast but I think Manchester United in it's current iteration is beyond anything he would have is his mind

12.5M to get sacked? Jesus wept! That new contract was great work for him and an utter terrible decision from us.

It's mental, we are paying out a year. I am pretty sure that part of that additional year was a negotiation on not paying out for 2 years in full. But the way things have gone nothing would surprise me

I can't see it being Xavi. What has he done exactly to even be in with a shout? Won La Liga? He also went out in the group stage of the CL in successive years. It's just not an appointment that excites me, especially when you see what Hansi Flick is doing with Barca now.
